somehow i got the feeling, that i am encountering an OP who undestood the very core mechanics of the mesmer – Confusing your enemies and making them question their perception of reality, as he is:

- changing thread titles faster than i can pop my clones (hm a new built on the forum lets check it out … oh no i already read this…twice???)

- slapping my eyeballs with massive walls of text

- attracting my attention by the tremendous use of bold letters (kitten i read it…again)

- apologizing for selfbumping threads will still not showing any ambtion to do otherwise

@overlord- Pfft. Don’t even worry about it bro, everyone has a right to speak their mind. No one has said anything that he should be acting like a victim the way he is. This is all actually nonsensically funny if you read through the posts.
Edit: I responded before I read your post. Then I saw it and said “oh dam_n Overlord just went in” Haha Still, you just gave voice to how a lot of people are feeling.

I remember the my first post that I made. I said that it has a fairly good chance of countering conditions, but everyone just kept using that as an excuse to claim that I made the worst build that can’t deal with conditions. That’s why I had to laugh at how you guyz were turning something I said that doesn’t mean a whole lot to something that is like “the end of the world” type of thing. Most people gave me feedbacks on how awful this build was at dealing with conditions. I know I needed to work some kink on condition handling before I even posted it. I just gave the blueprint and the ideas that i had on this build. But the way the majority of people kept acting like that was the biggest mistake in the world is what got me a bit sarcastic. Think about it. If people criticise your build for something that you can easily fix and were trying to in the first place you would be a bit ticked off. The way they said it to me were like talking to a lab rat hamster or something. Like I never even thought about that problem. And now you guyz are at it again for calling me ignorant and annoying when you guyz just can’t stop hammering me for something that I am well aware of. It’s like you expect me to feel bad about you guyz sarcastically talking to me. I hope I have made myself clear that I was trying to turn a new leaf. I have not abused any rules in this thread and was trying to keep the rest of my time here cool and calm when a certain people just came and bashed me about how I was being ignorant. Whenever I try to explain my reasons for getting defensive, you guyz just totally dismiss it and say that I am being a stuck up teenager.

You really should take Allisah’s advice and either post your build as an IDEA that you need help with through feedback and criticism. Or ask people for help with testing your build before posting it.
Both of those are only going to be possible if you keep an open mind and are willing to accept that sometimes a “brilliant” idea wont produce a fantastic build.

OK, for all you too tired to read my latest post above, here’s what I feel happened.

1. I posted my theorycraft build, as I have always done after some testing and reasoning that the build fit the purpose I created it for, which was not to Totally counter conditions. I have stated that it has a Fairly Good chance agaisnt conditions build.
2. You guyz only went on to give me “feedbacks” on how this build sucks against conditions even after you read that it has a Fairly good chance against conditions because of the stealth and damage output. You completely dismissed everything else about this build and went on to unexcusably claim that this build was the worst build ever just cause of the conditions. I saw it as this: you saw me mention something about conditions, saw taht this build lacks some condition removing potential, and went on to be A lot sarcastic in your replys when there was no need for it. Now you are calling those sarcasticness Feedbacks thatt I should take into accounts and are now claiming that I am being ignorant.(I went ahead and tried to go for your feedbacks anyways just cause I felt taht you guyz would feel happier)

3. I had my mouth open when I read your comments and decided that if I let this go on, It would only get worse. So I tried to incorporate reasoning with mild defensiveness on my part to try to stop you guyz from harrasing this build with your only excuses as it having been bad against conditions.

4. All of your next comments were about how I was being Soooooo sarcastic to your so called Feedbacks and never tried to even consider what I felt when I read them. It hurt me pretty bad. Alissah was giving me a chance at new start and I was just giving her credit for it. Then you guyz decided to make that as another excuse to try to get me mad even further. You guyz act like every thing I say is sarcastic when I clearly said that I was trying to turn a new leaf. I have even updated the new build so as to meet all your expectations and my own. You guyz won’t even comment on it and proceeds to insult me further on how I never seemed to accept your so called Feedbacks/Critiques and that I am only acting as the Victim, when you are actually, realistically, forcing me into that position. Ever thought of being in my shoes?

PS: All my posts in this thread was only in reply to your comments, and any defensiveness was used where I felt was needed, which you guyz would have done the same, and it happened only once so far, until you guyz brought everything back up all over again and told everyone to just ignore me.

Lol Chaos. Yeah. I am just tired of this guy playing the innocent. By the way… I prefer you call me Remy. He still doesn’t get it though. Oh well. - Pyroathiest, Alissah and jportell gave you ALL the advice you need. The only other thing you can learn from the build is by practicing it.

- First, I’ll tell you one thing about this game you don’t know: Each Might stack is worth 35 power, so “Most often you can gain 8-10 might stacks, which is
200-250 power and condition boost.” is wrong. You gain 280-350 power.

Secondly Staff doesn’t give a “constant flow of aegis.” Chaos Storm MAY proc aegis enough to block 2 or 3 hits, but that’s every half minute. And you don’t take a staff for swiftness, you take a focus for that.

- People are getting annoyed because you put up this affectation of being a confident well-versed build maker (“This build is great against conditions without a single way of removing them” / “Shattercat is good but this build has what it lacks” / “I’ll beat anybody with this build… as long as you don’t daze me, cast conditions, or run phantasms” ) when, I’m sorry to say, you’re obviously not. And although I’m sure you’re learning more from the forums than you would’ve scrambling around in-game, you just keep taking suggestions and adding tweaks without really understanding where the fault is in your build (which means you didn’t test it enough compared to a standard shatter / condition / phantasm build).

By now you know who’s here to help you and who’s fed up with making the attempt. Reach out to those who you know will help you (Jeezus lawd please do it through PM though) and everything else is just noise.

…But if you pop up with another random build anytime soon, you’re just proving that you’re doing it for the attention. How can you expect people to respect your builds if you yourself barely spend any time with them?

You need feedback on the build for the contest? When we make suggestions you change the build to match our suggestions? I am sorry how is doing that over and over again make this “your build” that you would be able to submit at all? All these suggests that you are “taking to heart” and changing the build up for kind of makes it a collaboration build does it not?

Usually (and I am talking about the past builds that have definite “owners” or at least the people who posted them) have all been tested and I mean EXTENSIVELY. Not your definition of extensive I mean a month of work on it. Then they post it and then if they find s suggestion that is worth it they may change one MAYBE two things. You are on the other hand with the last three builds have totally reworked pretty much the whole build every time/ several times. So how exactly can you logically lay claim to the build to put it in the contest?

I suggest you don’t enter the contest at all, OP.

Hexxen, I was going to post something similar to what you’re saying.
I have also been amazed by the switching style Menace has.
“Hey, here’s a great build, it deffo works against anything!”
- response: “you need X and Y, and at least X in Y trait line”
- Menace: “Ok I’ll change my build to reflect what you’re saying”
rinse repeat… it just doesn’t make any sense for him to call his builds, his own
