New Zealot/Keeper stat combo best on Mesmer?
Healing power kinda sucks on mesmer, it’s not worth it just for Regen. I’d take Cavalier/Knight any day over Zealot.
Mantra heals.. regen.. signet of the Ether.. ideas forming! Zealot is Power/Prec/Healing?
Whats Keepers?

Makes me smile, I have been burning wood on this for a couple weeks. I have a build theory-crafted and looks awesome (to me anyway). Huge, let me say, HUGE possibilities here (I’m not using mantra heals though).
EDIT: Also not using the new stat types, though they look interesting. Keeper/Zealot are the same thing I believe.

I don’t play healing power builds hardly ever but I’ve tried Chaos’ Archangels builds and they work great.
People in GW2 are always saying “there’s no support” “support has no role” Yet those same people do not own full healing power sets, have never tried a healing power set and if they have they tried it for 5 minutes and gave up.
I ran the 0-20-30-20-0 build with full clerics and 2 water 2 monk 2 traveler and omg that build is good for zerg support. Holding choke points with Focus and Feedback, tons of regen, tons of every boon except fury.
It really bugs me when people say something is bad in some definitive way. I just listen to other’s peoples builds and try not to judge. To assume I know everything in a game that has TONS of viable builds would be arrogant?
This new stat set may be better than clerics just because I feel mesmer’s don’t really need passive defense. At least for myself I’m not a fan of building much defense into stats. Maybe a more offensive support build would work well with this Zealots gear.

@Chaos – Keepers is just the Ascended prefix for the same combo.
Here’s the problem I see:
- Ether Feast Healing: 5,560 (1.0) ==> 18%
- Mirror Healing: 3,915 (0.6) ==> 15%
- Signet Passive Heal—3 Illusions: 980 (0.125) ==> 13%
- Power Return Healing: 2,620 (0.4) ==> 15%
- Restorative Mantras Healing: 2,600 (0.2) ==> 8%
- Regeneration: 130 (0.125) ==> 96%
The percentages I’ve shown are how much more healing you’d get if you had 1000 Healing Power instead of 0 – which is actually more than you’d get with HP just as a secondary stat. 30 points in Inspiration + Full Zealot + HP runes gets you to just about 1k.
As you can see, across the board, besides the regen boon we have absolutely nothing that gets more than an 18% bonus. In my opinion that’s absolutely not worth it compared to having those 1000 stat points in something useful.
We have no skills that actually benefit strongly from a healing power investment – on a level comparable to a Guardian’s Selfless Daring or an Elementalist’s Cleansing Wave.
Note that I’m not saying we can’t heal/support. Going for full boon duration and a support build can absolutely work; Mantra of Pain spam with Restorative Mantras is a 2.6k AoE heal every ~5 seconds (huge!) … but all of that is just as effective with zero Healing Power.
tl;dr – don’t go Zealot’s.
@Godmoney: Just a quick note. Nobody disputes the existence/effectiveness of support builds both in PvP and WvW. It is PvE where suppor doesn’t matter, and if you’re running a full healing build you’re a definite detriment to your team.
