Imagine the next Mesmer elite spec having the ability to make enemies have friendly fire and damage each other(probably through its elite or F5). This would work on both PVP and PVE enemies. The current raids seem to have something similar and it would be pretty unique as far as MMO class mechanics.

I’d pay to see Teq kill his own fingers.

I would really like this mechanic. For bosses, it should simple make them take feedback damage a bit like Confusion, but more significant in that it applies debuffs, albeit scaled by the player’s stats.

The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.

While it sounds like a good idea, I can just imagine the flaming going around when elementalist nuking the area kills everyone+themselves. Maybe it could be that when you apply conditions it gives your team debuffs (with the mechanic on them), and damage or crits will let them have a unique vulnerability, making it so they take more damage.

No idea though, don’t play pvp a lot, just a quick idea I got.

The more I think about it a condition that turns allies hostile and enemies into allies would be fun. Imagine a necros allies having to avoid their wells or a druid healing the enemy team instead! There would be counter play in that it can be cleansed but it would force people to pay attention to their conditions. Devs would have to just make sure enemies are still attackable even when they are “allies”.
