Way way way to many chronomancer threads up on this forum at the moment, and while varied and relatively interesting in a timely topic sort of way, still oh so boring- “Chrono OP!”, “You’re a dummy, no it’s not!”…

Anyway as part of the chronomancer crusade I did my bit to put together some vids from the weekend.

This one is a match and a half of OMFG running a PvP Mes Raid, featuring Tealot on Mes, Chaos on Chrono, some other OMFG and a couple pugs.

Here is a series of six duels between Chaos Archangel on Chrono vs Tealot running condi mes. I took them from the PoV of Tealot and Chaos will upload his PoV at some point.

From what I read a lot of people are really scared of Chrono, or the OP’ness of Mes in general. To all of you I laugh.

From the recent WTS . The Mets has shown itself to be all about mobility, and sustainability. Reaper has great sustainability as well as cele. People complaining about mesmers at this point are showing there inexperience when dealing with the class. Much like how it was when rangers got changed

I don’t find the chronomancer op, i find it slower than mesmer rupt.
Condichrono seems so easy to play, but the wells are not that good so i find them a little under our other utility , since we need some utility so the choice is reduce :s

For the record: Tolaet (go ahead, you can call him Toilet) is normally the toon I play for Condi. Just on that duel vid I ran standard power CI with GS/Sword Torch where I abuse the hell out of stealth and blink.

I played condi in the actual match. And I think Chaos has a few duels where I fought him as condi as well.

I should’ve made some Chrono vids this weekend. But then you’d all see how awful I am at PvP.

Come now, don’t be shy, Chaos posts vids all the time and you don’t see him worrying.

if ppl still shouting perma slow so common

chrono if ppl still didnt get it is for group fight and not dueling

it can support good the party . can be effective bunker (but probable not as guard or dd ele)

the basic power build are still meta and better without chorno

maybe for condition chorno can be better with lots fo pressure but simple power pu or power block can be better wihtout chrono

i think the support boon share with wells and glamour field can be good too

exactly this is why i save shield #5 and well and if needed time warp for fast res while slow stomp

I will say that I never really noticed it at any time that I was fighting a chronomancer over the weekend, but that may stem from the fact that a lot of power mesmer damage is instant (interrupts and mindwracks).

Oh lawd.. I’m scared to watch. Will have my side of the uploads tonight likely.

No way to make it work?

I’m sure there’s a way. However, the sustainability of the build that I used came from a trait that replenished one initiative on a critical hit. Also, ricochet was removed, not that I used it in PvP because it competed with traits in Trickery.

I haven’t done much digging, but there is a theory that those traits, or traits like them, might be reinstated with the thief’s elite spec — which is also assuming that their elite weapon will be a rifle.
