So question to the mods who like to act like machines when it’s convenient to them, why bother infracting me rather than just accepting the numerous requests for this thread to be stickied? We kinda assumed we were SUPPOSED to bump this thread to keep it more visible than it would be if it were stick’d.

But.. before I get infracted again for questioning my infraction or not “contributing to the discussion in a meaningful way”, how has your experience with the OMFG been? Are there anything you’d like to see changed or improved upon? Has the guild helped you out as a Mesmer?

I’ll not leave you hanging and answer. Yes, it’s very helpful and fun getting help and testing new things with other mesmers, as well as being able to get hands-on advice with specific problems or questions without having to create a thread on the forum completely dedicated to it. I feel it works like a in-game wiki, but more field and fact. Plus, it’s fun and the information net is faster than the forums or ANet, finding bugs within the class and thus letting people know what problems there are and what to avoid.

Sounds rather silly given the name of the guild, but is there perhaps another forum we could use or start that you’d have control over so threads can stop getting deleted? Pyro’s ban is an actual issue that the mesmer community is concerned about and there are things we can learn from it, but unfortunately we can’t discuss it here.

My very first toon in GW2 was a Mesmer. By now I have three, two of them at lv80 and fully geared – one in zerks for dungeoneering purposes, one for experimental science on the field of open-world-content-suitable builds, one for RP purposes and some WvW roaming.
I’ve had and tried a wide variety of builds during countless hours, both in PvE open world content and dungeons. Loved exchanging experiences about specific and non-streamlined build concepts with a few friends back then, but they all sorta moved on (from the game or class respectively). Would be great if I could get this sort of theory crafty thingy back.
Disclaimer: I’m currently fighting a certain blackscreen issue with everything I have, can’t quite promise to stay active should the problem persist. Until my patience runs out or if I can actually manage to beat that old nemesis of mine, I’d love to participate though!
