I’d like to show up more often to play with you guys, but after yesterday I realized that I cannot group with NA people. Well, as a matter of fact I can, but I cannot queu for pvp with yourselves.

Lately, (for the past 2 months, at least) many EU players are experiencing tremendous lag spikes, including myself, to a point where I can “safely” play only after midnight (see a over 30 pages 3D in the tech forum). Any game mode before that time will result in a very poor game experience (to a degree where I thought if it’s worth keep playing this game).

Now, do you think that switching to a NA server will improve this lag? If yes, is there a server you’d recommend? I mainly play pvp and wvw.

PS: Is switching server free? can it be done as many times as wanted? Can I go back to the original server, eventually?

Transfers costs gems which can be brought with gold, so it doesnt require you to spend cash. Still its an investment.

NA isnt suffering EU’s problems however there will be more latency going to the US than a closer EU server to home. Having said that, the latency from EU to the US shouldn’t be god awful. Plenty of players from each region play in the other, this includes WvW/PvP settings.

Oh, I should add: Will it improve your lag? That depends entirely on where the issue is occurring.

Transfers are permanent*, but because of the megaserver we all end up together anyway. Guesting is still available, but is only necessary when doing guild missions.

Glad to see they made transfers between NA and EU possible.

*In so much that you will have to pay to move again.

edit Working on that Stickers. I’d rather see successful bounty runs so that we can buy better missions. In order for that to happen we need more than five people repping at time.
