Lol
Fun, but that mantra heal would drive me nuts.

Without the extra charge I wouldnt take it.
In WvW I’d also agree, just not enough healing.
In PvP however, the rules of engagement are different and it works. But again, only with the bonus charge. I think the reason being that so much of the damage you’d take would be due to being pinned beneath chilled, cripple, and imob. Remove those and you’re mostly free to gtwo of the way.
Look at Charr Tealot/Tolaet go.
@Ross: You’re actually running my preferred Phantrupt traits when I ran it a while back. My only question is what made you choose your current weaponset over Sword-Sword/Scepter-Pistol?

I don’t know. I’ve just been kitten ing around a lot. I think I put the GS on in WvW and started mixing things around. For whatever reason I traited up that way in PvP too. It’s not the same of course. I don’t have that counter pressure and have to duke in and out of fights more in various situations I wouldn’t with the other weapons, but it just means a change in role and rotations. I spend more time at mid instead of hitting the sides solo.
Gotcha. Also, there’s a YT vid of a Charr mesmer out there running your build in WvW. Fun to watch.

Was it this guy?
Because yeah, he’s awesome. Makes me wish I was a pro phantrupt player :D
Yes! Fun to watch. I need to try out power/lockdown builds in WvW more. I just have this thing where I think hybrid makes way more sense there…

Hybrid does make more sense. Running full power/glass isnt so great for roaming due to outnumbered fights. Just can’t eat the pressure. But it is good for small group stuff. Also ever satisfying.
That said I don’t really WvW anymore so…
I realize I swapped the traits out in WvW to go GS sword/focus.
Hybrid with precision has always been nice due to sharper images … better with some weapon sets than other weapon sets.
Otherwise hybrid has needed Staff and Scepter as they are our most “hybrid-ized” weapons.
I guess you could argue that always having a power shatter (Mind Wrack) and condition shatter (CoF) allows us to leverage hybrid stats … but I prefer more than one skill that uses a stat. “More bang for your buck” … that sort of thng.
<3 Sword/Focus.

I kinda wanna roll with you guys using Furious Interruption now.
Though you know.. I never actually made an honest attempt at making Disruptors Sustain work. O.o
… Nah.

I’m starting to get the feeling that our team will have every lockdown trait except for Disruptor’s. The only thing I can think it would do is to allow you to grant some monstrous regens to teammates when you summon a phantasm.
Chaos, if you can make Disruptor’s Sustain “not suck”, you will receive the title “Grand Pooba”.

Sadly this is impossible but I like the name so much I might just start calling him that anyway.
Don’t do that, skcamow … gotta make him earn it :-p
Otherwise he’ll just sit around doing nothing because his life will be complete as soon as he’s been bestowed that title.
