Guild Wars 2

With all these profession guilds popping up, I figured maybe we should start considering how to integrate cross-class events.

After the appearance of the Necro guild, the idea hit me that we shouldn’t all be mutually exclusive, we should find ways to intersect with eachother.

Any ideas?

Collect builds which are hard counters.

boonripping Shatter > Bunker guardian
Lockdown > Evisc warrior
PU Phantasm > S/F S/D fresh air Ele

with links to the builds and descriptions of why/how they hard counter another spec.

From a PvP perspective, as much as it’s awesome to have a bunch of mesmers fighting each other in our arena, being able to bring in good players of other professions to duel/train against would be really nice. I’ve just never had ideas to make that happen or protocol to keep things in check. If we could figure this out I think it would be great for the guild.

In a game I used to play there were six guilds (classes). The game features a capture the flag arena which was purely PvP. Once a year as a player created initiative there would be a guild vs guild (class vs class) torny. It was far from balanced (both class and numbers), but it was a load of fun just to pit guilds vs eachother.

I’d love to have Mesmer vs Necro vs Guardian vs Warrior vs Thief vs Ranger vs Engie pvp torny matches.

Let me guess, that’s the Ranger guild?! It reminds me of Talim from Soul Calibur exclaiming “WIND!” during battles!

Anyway, I’m totally down with some type of coordination. One of the biggest ways to coordinate is simply discussing how our classes interact with one another. I’ll be honest, but I don’t really frequent the other forums often. That being said, I think our forum is a wealth of knowledge for Mesmer users as well as others. One way to bridge the gap between our guilds is simply posting in their forums more often.

Yep, the ranger guild, Altho my GLs are still better than me, I could still give them a headache. so yeah I think I will have a lot to teach people, I’ll help with the best I can in knowing how to fight rangers.

At the same time, I would also change how people see rangers as “Easy Targets” “Rangers Are Weak”. I am sure I will give you guys one hell of a time. (No arrogance Intended)
