I’ve done it on multiple occasions on these forums. It doesn’t feel good, but it’s necessary to be able to do.

Since the thread is getting whack, i might aswell derail it myself. I was trying to make a unique support build, can we make a support centered PU build? This might change peoples opinion about PU.

PS i noticed the people who bash PU are terribad in game, i suggest get better before being an elitist jerk. Thank you.

You may want to dredge up a build that Johnny made a while back called the protection master or something like that. It was built around using PU with high boon/prot duration to share to your party.

i know its becoem boring active passic, aggressive etc
active not equal to aggressive !
every build is active and every player is active

baiting is to lure your enemy to use his special skills you want to interupt if you are lockdown or to miss use them if you condi shatter etc
so in this time you are waiting or using some not important skills or low icd skills which make you passive or defensive playstyle in this time

every build use baiting in some sort and the more you use it in your play style the less you aggressive (but not defensive)
power shatter used it to get the enemy dodge before the immoblize and burst with i zerk
lockdown has 4-5 interupts so he constant look for the enemy rotation and moves(most rewarding build if oyu master it reminds me gw1 mesmer)
condi shatter use some clones or even block to proc conditions for the enemey cleanse and then use shatter f1-3 to pressure the enemy without any cleanse
pu condi rarly use bait he just used his clones as seen in the video above as the condi pressure is constant and repeatable every 5-10 seconds
pu power will bait in some degree for the heal skill before burst
phantasm build rarely bait as the illusion will do constant dmg and are reaptabel

where u use it

wvw , tpvp, pve?

wvw – big groups, small groups

it could be nice idea to support ppl with boons sharing maybe for pve (dont do pve so cant comment)

wvw – if you team miss guardians maybe you could help a bit but guardians/ele do it better . so in big group you wont be notice at all dmg and boons . in small team 3-5 maybe but again low dmg output if you go for boon duration build and its hard to share aegis in wvw as you will have to put it on yourself outside of the enemy location port to your group unspotted

i know vigor memser can share it nicely if they know where and when to shatter

tpvp – not effective so far

PU condi offers the best escapes and will allow you to kill almost anyone that isn’t smart enough to move out of your range.

I have a non-pu condi Mesmer build on my YouTube channel. It works nicely because some players think it’s PU but I can do a 5 clone shatter creating a 10 torment stack AOE. In the video you see me land it on a near full health guardian and he gets downed in like 4 secs.
