Phantasm Army build "solo pve?"
I think your first build is the “best,” mostly because phantasmal haste is bugged and won’t affect the phantasms for greatsword or focus.
Your first build, however, also provides a lot of support through vulnerability. With illusion of vulnerability, you will stack vulnerability a lot with gs #5 and focus #4. Not sure if the vuln will stack on bosses with defiant, though.
I am not sure you really need to trait all 3 weapons, but you definitely need to trait the focus. I might consider going with phantasmal fury instead of sword trait. Build #3 did not trait the focus, which essentially makes it a waste in my opinion. The best use of iWarden is the reflect. Curtain also reflects with the trait.
thanks for the advice
another thing to add to that, would it not be better to drop out specing for sword in get the fury on illusion + keep great sword reduction simple because the point i switch to sword / focus is not pure dps and the sword cool down only summons a normal illusion and the focus is where the skills i want when i go there are. and i got it traited to reduce anyways.
and swamping glamor reduced cd for group content then 20% hp allusion solo?
thanks for saying its bugged on the haste i read it was but it was like 1year ago post figured they fix it change the tool tip lol
And I was wondering about substats I noticed n the wiki it said they don’t inherit vitally on gain HP form talents in current level to avoid the situation of your illusion/phantoms dieing would picking toughness bet one of your best stats because it effects them? Or
should I just go full zerker gear or cavalier or mix between not looking to do omg stupid DPS just to use my illusion to migrate damage from groups and support with reflections. Plus actually be strong in killing kitten my self.

Phantasmal Haste is bugged? Meh.. then I’ve been making an error setting up for it. Is that for all phantasms? or specific ones?
it just for the one you summon form the Gsword/Foucs, i read up on it and that what ppl are calming it is but anet still has not changed the Tool tip after it was discoverer over a year ago
works with pistol torch and staff… i guese.. the warden in the berserk are clamied to be bugged but the wiki says it decrease there attack time.
You dont actually need any phantasm traits to use them as aggro magnets. You just change the way you play and the weapons you use. Pick any mob (or group of mobs) and they should barely be able to touch you before they die. The only difficult thing when roaming PvE is 80 champions. Some veterans can be troublesome depending on mechanic (like veteran risen giants spawning a gazillion grubs) but should still be doable. Anything below 80 is easy peasy.
@dawdler
idk about 80 but with the 50% sigil plus the 20% illusion hp.. my illusion can face tank champions and vets with out dieing before im ready to summon another one.. im sure that will change.. im also stacked toughness and power.. i do dcent damage not as much as my warrior buddy i play with at the same level but i can def survive harder encounters cause my illusions phantoms never die im only level 35 tho but i can comfortable solo most champs in fields of ruin
i guess it will just be atrial in error c cause most ppl don’t like the idea of stacking toughness in phantom talents aside for leveling so it lacking a lot of information.
I’m guessing you might have already seen my old build thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/The-Mesmerizing-Army-Soloist-s-PvE-build/first#post3364413
But this build was designed with a bit of tanking in mind. If you just want to run through with the fastest map completion, and avoid most major fights, then the meta zerker build would work just as well.
Traiting for weapons does not give a noticeable boost in PvE, so I’d suggest ignoring such traits altogether. I haven’t experimented very much with the focus in open world PvE – I just preferred other choices. but if you like the focus, go for it.
Of the 3, I’d pick the 3rd build. The second build has utility that would probably benefit more with a staff user.
For gears, zerker should be fine. Mesmers have plenty of lockdown and ‘panic’ skills to avoid damage. If you do want more survivability, then Valkyrie is a good choice.
