I really wish the Wall of the Mists was based of a more elegant looking shield. I don’t want spikes and a basic looking shield just because it’s purple and misty

I’ve been considering the Lovestruck shield, as it’s lower in price now or the tormented one because it’s purple.

I’ve had the same problem with whisperblade. I wish they had based those on bonetti’s rapier or something.

Ghastly Grinning shield or the default Chronomancer Shield-Skin.

Wall of the Mists is the only good mesmer shield, all other shields are ugly or not mesmerizing enough, if you arent rocking wall of the mists, youre doing it wrong

wtf lol whisperblade is perfect, simple yet flashy, its the perfect mesmer weapon, if you arent using any of the ecto weapons, than you are seriously playing mesmer wrong, i dont respect any mesmer who arent using those weapons, its the only weapons that fit a mesmer, anything else is bad and ugly

When I stopped playing months ago I gave away all my skins except 1. This^^ one. Now it’ll get some use.

I already have the Flameseeker Prophecies so that.

Zenith cuz it’ll look awesome paired with infinite light~ mayyyybe mist forged but the white puts me off a bit.

Yellow ascended might be tempting and I like the design, but prob would look awkward on my mes. Phoenix again might be a bit awkward. I find tormented to be a bit to small for the design which isn’t a bad thing… But not worth the gold considering zenith is more fitting and free.

Yeah think I’m prob sticking with zenith until I see something more fitting.

My character is not very mesmerish, but I really wanted Sclerite shield for a long time. Only to see the skin at 400G today…

Guess I’ll stay with Lovestruck pink sparkles.

My Flameseeker Prophecies is ready for the chronomancer upgrade.

Zenith shield most likely – all the zenith weapons are my favourites, apart from greatsword which I think the zenith skin looks ugly.

I can’t see making/buying the Wall of the Mists though. It’s not a nice looking skin, I wish they had used a prettier base skin for it! The spikes and crud don’t appeal to me…so I might have to stick with a tormented shield because it’s the only other purple one.

Or I might make that violet colored ascended one for the skin, it’s fairly nice too. I have the white and gold one and it’s lovely…may just use it.

I love whisperblade and vision of the mists though, and the anomaly of course. Heck I even made the trident Mirage because I love that set

In the end, the skin won’t matter as much as the character wielding it … Norn (maybe Charr) with a shield is so much better than you tiny Mesmers ;-)

I’m sorry, but Whisperblade is not the perfect mesmer sword.

We shoot beams out of a longsword for crying out loud. Mesmer’s are about deception! The multiple faces of Lyssa! Your enemy should not know what he’s up against until its too late!

A purple misty sword/shield is SOOOOO NOT a Mesmer weapon.

Wait … the Greatsword is supposed to shoot?! All these years I kept trying to swing mine and it kept shooting out sparks … I just thought mine was defective :-p

Hmm…now that I look at it, I kinda like the Wintersday one too. It’s a pretty shield…and not too expensive right now either. Dunno if I like that Tormented one enough to get the skin

Picked up Torment and Chaos (and Chaos Sword) for cheapish, I also like the Balthazar sheild for its smaller size but not sure if I am going to pick it up. Mistforged Hero is pretty good as is Flameseeker but their are other legendaries I like better.

In short I can’t choose and will probably end up using a lot of transmute charges.

I am dreaming of a new clock/eye-fashioned legendary shield emitting a purple aura and throwing gold at my screen.

If this one dissapoints/doesn’t come out flameseeker prophecies it will be.

I think the tempest weapons look more Mesmer-ish than anything else. Yes, I realize the upcoming Elementalist specialization is called tempest, but the tempest weapons are obviously more the idea of weapons than actual weapons. They are little curly-cues of circles, and only by Mesmer-mind-power could anyone actually be convinced that they are a weapon. So I think the tempest shield is perfect here. It is just the merest conception of a shield, but somehow the mesmer manages to convince their enemy that it is an actual shield.

Caveat: I have several tempest weapons, but haven’t been able to grind up enough money for the shield yet. I have seen it in pictures, however. If anyone wants to sell me a tempest shield skin on the cheap, please just send the offer!

I am Fractal lvl 50 and this and the rifle are the only skins that have ever dropped for me… now I might finally be able to equip it at long last.

Maybe I’m old fashioned and unoriginal but I like my mesmer weapons to look like maybe they are all in your mind!

I’m going with the legendary. I know that there will be new ones when HoT is released but I’ve always loved that shield skin so much that I cannot do any different than building the shield and using it from my first day as a Chronomancer. (pic related) oups I’ve finished it a bit too early I guess.

Remember, if your answer is Tormented or Wall of the Mists, your sense of style and originality as a Mesmer is slipping.

For me, Golden Wing Shield. Elegant, light, and won’t look like you’re carrying a turtle shell on your back when stowed.

Also Guild Defender, which for me will be a shield with a customizable emblem.
