Shatter confusion viable in WvW still?
I did that before, and do that now in ZvZ.
I put this up yesterday. I’ll get some ZvZ footage when I can.

My experience with shatter condition builds post-April 30th is that they can work on less skilled players. Thieves and Rangers who would spam skills despite being confused will still lose to you, just more slowly. However, experienced players who know to stop attacking when they have 10+ stacks of confusion are going to be very difficult to defeat.
Not worth it imo unless they rework the trait system. You have to give up so much good stuff in traits in order to get a proper glam build going that it really leaves you weak.

He’s NOT asking about glamour builds. ^^
And uhm, I think worth is what feels like fun for you. I myself am still playing my condition Mesmer in WvW, and I really like it a lot. Of course confusion now does much less damage… but then again; stupid people will still proc it often, while decently skilled players still will mostly avoid taking damage from it. Thus you’ll still take around the same amount of time to kill good players (if you’re good enough to kill them at all, that is), and you’ll take a bit longer to kill the bad players than before. Imo, just don’t try to solely rely on confusion… it already wasn’t the best thing to do pre-nerf, and now it’s even less recommended.
It probably also depends on what kind of WvW you do. If you’re more of a solo dude it may not be the best dueling build, and never was.
If you aim for mass fights, then I’d say that confusion is still very valuable and adds a lot to mass control, even though dispell happens much more in large groups.
So, yes it is definitely still viable, but for solo roaming you may want to look for another build.
I mainly used it in small havoc groups or when teaming with my thief friend. I’ll try it out this week since I finally have a few days off work. Thank you all for the replies.
I highly recommend checking out osicat’s shatter builds. He has several builds along with tips and tactics on using the builds. His thread is the first thread under the sticky section
I have. It’s just I’m so used to confusion shatter that I’m reluctant to change
Yea I know what ya mean. I’ve recently went from glamour confusion to his newest build and i love shatter builds now. I didn’t want to change my build, but due to the nerf to confusion I don’t like running that build anymore.
