So i am playing around with my build and thinking about a Might sort of build, I saw that Shattered Strength gives 1 Stack of Might per an Illusion shattered but that doesnt seem to work with Illusionary Persona???

I thought that Illusionary Persona makes it so you are a “4th” Illusion/clone and it seems to work for some things like Distortion granting 1 second when you have no clones out so i would have thought that using both and having 3 clones/illusions out that i would get 4 stacks of Might but that doesnt seem to be the case

Am i missing something????

Illusionary persona only creates the shatter effect on you as well, Shatter strength give you 1 stack of might per ILLUSION shattered. So Illusionary persona wont work with the trait as you only shatter 3 ILLUSIONS if they are all up as well as one extra shatter EFFECT on yourself.

Then why does some things such as Distortion count YOU as an illusion/clone with Persona as well then? From what i read you are counted as a Clone/Phantom for Shatters thats why you can use them and do damage/daze even without having any clones/illusions up????

If you read the trait it states, “Creates the shatter effect on you as well”.
It does not state that you are a illusion as well..

So with this trait it adds an extra shatter coming off you, that is why you can shatter with no illusions.

But my point being – Distortion works with NO clones out thus you count as one to give you 1 second of of it. So why does that not work for everything that involves shattering?

If you have the shatter effect you are counted as a Clone/Illusion for the Shatters (F1-F4) so why not the traits?

What Psych is saying is that the effects of Shattered Strength works per clone shattered.

iPersona gives you the shatter effect, but doesn’t make you count as a clone.

… Except, according to the wiki, iPersona also works with Restorative Illusions yet I’ve heard it doesn’t work with Shattered Conditions.

So, honestly, it depends on the trait. (Please don’t nerf Restorative Illusions ANet)

Ah okay, that kinda sucks – i think it should seeing as you count as a clone for the F1-F4 skills.

Illusionary Persona gives you an extra instance of your Shatter effect without Shattering an Illusion.

Shattered Strength gives its bonus per Illusion Shattered.

It’s somewhat confusing, but I can see why they wouldn’t want to give the trait even more synergy than it already has.

Pretty sure the wiki math there is from Chaos himself, so I believe it is accurate.

Not I, but I can confirm that the math is accurate.

iPersona = 932

iPersona + 1Clone(1124) = 2056
iPersona + 2Clones(1316) = 2248
iPersona + 3Clones(1508) = 2440

I don’t think it’ll get nerfed. If you take it, you have to choose between Deceptive Evasion or Illusionary Persona. ( iPersona ftw)
