Never really noticed this till recently but ..

• Winds of Chaos actually has two different animations (atleast.. on my Sylvari male it does). One with a pointed finger and one with an open palm.

• The initial cast of WoC is slightly slower than the followup casts.

Interesting, I’d never noticed that either.

Will have to see with asura if there are different animations. Do they occur in specific situations?

Nah, I was standing in the mists spamming staff 1 and noticed that he’d cast it differently.

Same with Sylvari male on the longbow. Every 3rd to 4th shot he’ll lean forward and crouch a little as opposed to just plinking away from full standing.

Not sure if it’s just sylvari that do this or not (I love my tree people), but it adds a little flavor to the normal ranged attacks.

Mesmer/Ele/Necro all swap between two animations on auto-attacks on staves.

It was one of the very first things I noticed at launch of the game.
Staff was my second weapon I had gotten and loved it since.

Also, I love the small details some of the devs put in, like what you’re talking about now so I have an eye for these things

Yeah, it’s pretty cool.

there’s one that ‘points’, and another one that ‘rolls’ it, like a bowling ball :o. Or atleast, that’s how I throw bowling balls.

Dont call something so complex as casting magic “finger pointing”!

I didn’t actually notice this on my mesmer first, but rather on the elementalist. Sometimes you just get that awesome fingersling with the staff.
