Stop hitting yourself!
You link doesn’t work. Copy and paste doesn’t work either.

I can’t seem to get the link to work even with copy and pasting (tried Chrome and Firefox). I could just be an idiot, though.
Only thought from your description so far is that retaliation doesn’t proc when a shot is blocked/reflected. So, I’m not sure how many traits you sunk into reflection, but I thought it was worth mentioning. P/V/T is a great stat combo for retaliation, though. It’s calculated off of power anyway, and the the vit and tough make it so you can actually take hits.

funny, i have actually been trying out what sounds like the same build for a couple of days now, be interested to see the differences! and aye your link doesn’t work.
Check out Pyro’s Immortal build, it is almost precisely what you are describing here. It is listed in Fay’s builds threat at the top of the forum.
Sorry about that, I think I broke it when I tried to make it fit all on one line for easier copy/pasting! Fixing what wasn’t broke in the first place probably. :p
putting a few different sites in, certainly one of them must work.
Yes, I have run the immortal mesmer build, the big difference here is I drop staff and do not get protection with regen. That build is a beast in pvp, and I like it alot. But this works differently, as you hopefully will see once I get the links to work!

I’ve been messing around with a similar concept in sPvP to train with the focus, it’s been surprisingly effective:
Berserker Sw-F / Staff. 0/20/0/20/30 - Reflect / Shatter build. Blink / Feedback / Portal.
Reflection DECIMATES most non-scholar classes. Once you’re out of Melee-range, all they really can do is own themselves. I know the iWarden’s lousy for damage, but I’ve always considered it our only melee-ranged defensive Phantasm. with that in mind, I fight near it, jump inside of it when it begins its Whirl, and occasionally place it directly in the middle of my Temporal Curtain, so when I activate Into the Void, enemies get sucked right into its attack.
I’d honestly drop Retaliatory Shield in favor of Dueling I, IV, or V. since you’re using the focus, i-leap combo over Temporal Curtain should be enough retaliation with CoF. The two semi-reliable blocks aren’t worth traiting for,

Honestly I could drop dueling altogether, I dont have those final two traits in my current build and it works just fine without them.
I could build more into shattering and take domination to 20 points for domination IV (+vuln on shatter), dom 5 (cripple).
inspiration to 30 for inspire II glamor mastery (moar reflect), Inspire VII (moar confusion), or inspire XII (moar self-heals).
or chaos 10 for self-regen and faster blinks (chaos III)
Vuln on shatter is a good one, it’d make the reflected damage hurt that much more. The self-regen with no healing power is pretty unnoticeable, but I LOVE Blink, so I could see myself using that.
I wouldn’t use Restorative Illusions without any healing power though. It would work if you had more ways to produce/shatter clones more rapidly (Mirror Images / Deceptive Evasion). But unless you’re popping 3 different shatters of 3 clones each every 15-20 seconds, the heals wouldn’t do enough justice IMO.
