Not sure if being sarcastic but honestly that is one of the best, if not the best, skills as a Mesmer if you are duoing an opponent.

I can probably talk about it now because every within 3 sec I kill you thief seems to be doing it now, but previously against such thieves, the moa skill was the only way I could kill them until they started cloaking while in Moa bird form…

Or are they logging out now whenever I use it? O_o

I will about-face and peck a Mesmers eyes out when moa’d and if she lives through that I’ll timewarp her soon as it wears off to show how lame Moa is (WVW)

Man using up all my runes to get something other classes get for minor traits or in weapons is an amazing idea.

Power, Swiftness Duration, Bleeding Duration and almost 100% Swiftness to yourself and nearby allies. In WvW what is not to like about this? For me it is perfect, it extends my crit bleed procs, means I don’t have to run Focus and the Power is nice for shatter/gs builds.

For WvW I will also always take mirror over any other heal skill because the amount of damage you can negate with 1s reflection at critical moments is almost always greater than anything else.

You can use bleed procs on Sigils and the Staff attack also has a 7s bleed chance. I have a Grd, Thief and War at 80 as well as my Mesmer and I’d say after the Thief with the perma 25% Swiftness my Mesmer is the next easiest to keep Swiftness up with. I run a balanced build with good Condition and direct damage. Base Morale, I only need some Toughness to survive as well as on any other class.

So bottom line, you were wrong, it’s not something you’ll never hear a Mesmer saying. Because I will say it

“I’m not going to shatter all these AMAZING Scepter clones, instead I shall keep them up so they can confuse and confound the enemy while the real me destroys him with Ether Bolt”

I’m glad I was able to down that mesmer first. Thank god mesmers don’t do a kitten load of damage/see through stealth when they are downed.

To be honest i have quite the opposite one, that i’ve seen from personal experience and lots of good mesmers lol:

“Wow, mesmers can’t dps, take on swarms or put out enough AoE.”

Mesmers can be extremely good at taking down, chain pulling and kiting non stop multiple mobs at the same time no matter how many come at you (even if the player has all the aggro) while being invincible even in dungeons and also tagging a ton of mobs while zerg farming XP Just depends on how you play, and how well u fit with the mesmer class playstyle/tactics..

I don’t know, I think Necros still beats Mesmers there. I kind of feel sorry for them whenever I look through their threads. Apparently one of their life stealing traits heals the enemy instead of themselves.

Mesmer doesn’t have enough swiftness

Runes of the Centaur are every WvW focused Mesmer’s friend. Especially if you have another Mesmer guildie along with you and you can get 24 seconds of swiftness every 16 seconds.

Greatsword 3/4/5 called. Also, fighting multiple enemies is personally what I like best. A couple clones on this guy, a duelist on that guy, my actual character hitting this other guy down, bunch them all up for a shatter combo and iBeserker. More fun when the enemies are actual players.

A mesmer made me invisible. Now I can survive and flee.

Then you won’t believe how many times Mass Invisability has saved my teammates, either by allowing for an escape, a simple target drop, or for simply repositioning and being the ones to get the jump on the enemy (being chased by enemies, invis the party, enemy think we ran, but we actually turned right around and are ready to open the fight with a bang from invis).

If they ever roll back to the original balancing for clones in BWE1, you will hear me say this. I gladly kept 3 images going while hacking away as a sword mesmer. Their damage was just high enough that players could be confused into thinking it was the real mesmer because your own melee damage was lacking and three or four images bouncing in and out of range kept the health dwindling steadily.

I miss useful clones.
