Mesmer Personality Quiz! Exclamation Points!
….for the ultimate 3 man PvP/WvW team?!
Reaper & Tempest, imo
Reaper – frontline damage. With their inherent tankiness and access to AoE chill/damage they’d be the perfect ones to keep enemies trapped within our wells. (when they’re not.. y’know.. fearing them away)
Tempest – Keeping enemies locked down should be no problem for us with a reaper, which means Tempests should be able to use their overloads in relative safety, and Warhorn/Rebound combined with our Alacrity could be devastating.
I wonder how Rebound interacts with Illusion of Life. IoL usually redowns you when it expires, while Rebound (Chaos, check the thread in the Ele forum, it’s different now) is supposed to prevent allies from getting downed in its duration.
If those two skills interact the way it seems like they should, then Chronomancer with Tempest could end up being the trolliest of troll comps, especially if they both use bunker-style builds.
For (potential) real effectiveness, there’s already another thread about pairing up Chronomancer and Herald for megaboonsharing, which sounds pretty neat.
Reaper and Herald. The Reaper can provide a strong frontline like you said, and we can keep the enemy locked down at mid-close range pretty thoroughly. The Herald can sit back and pulse boons and provide some additional CC with hammer, or maybe even some staff support.

What Stormbolt said! Reapers are fantastic front-liners. That goes for condition or power damage. Meanwhile, Chronomancers and Heralds can work at the mid-Range. I also think that a Glint/Ventari Herald can bring some interesting healing and CC options. One thing the trio may be lacking is really reliable condition cleanse.

If the chrono is at least semi-support, you can have condi cleanse from Inspiration.
For that matter, if the herald takes the line that gives 50% boon duration, the chrono can give booku amounts of quickness for relatively little investment.
Just a little compromise toward the support on the part of both the Herald and Chrono and the final synergy could be fantastic.
Don’t forget we will have cleanse on the healing well now
Also Herald could use Mallyx and provide resistance and consume conditions.
Reaper and Hearld nooooo doubt in my mind. This is easy.
Herald has all the boons imaginable and plays as support. Chronomancer with wells can support as well while still giving high aoe dmg and debuffs. Reaper can go zerker with the chills. It’s just nasty the things they could probably do together.

Chrono – Wells, alacrity, etc
Reaper – Chill, front line damage as you said
Berzerker Shot Warrior – Long Range, Melee Range, super high high burst, either single or multi target depending on the circumstance.
This way nothing can escape evil laugh
Yeah I agree with the majority – Reaper and Herald for the win (unless Herald gets nerfs this upcoming BWE)…
