I wouldn’t really change boons for chaos storm.
Though while we’re at it, adding fear to chaos armour on a very low proc chance would be awesome.
Boons: Regen/Prot/Retal
Condis: Confusion/Bleed(or Poison)/Torment
Other 80s: Any but Warrior

A torment would be nice but, honestly, I have no complaints about Chaos Storm.
Less conditions so the only truly useful effect can trigger (daze).
YEH lets only let chaos storm spam daze, that would work great with an interrupt build , hehe

The spell is actually fine as is. Just a bit unreliable when you need it to interrupt a stomp/ress.

Retal, Protection and Regeneration would be great for boons

less/few boons/conditions with random applying OR
more boons/conditions with no random applying at all
for less
as an afterpatch-mesmer primary boons/condition should be
interrupts of all sorts/torment, confusion, bleed
for more
as it is, just without randomness
of course a grandmaster major trait to decide which way u wanna go.
oh and swiftness should be deleted from chaos storm at all…

An interesting idea, Could make it so the trait makes them either ALL boons (thus you cast on yourself/allies) or its ALL Conditions which of course you cast on the enemy. Rather then making it all random, let us have say 5 boons or conditions (which ever way you go in the trait) that are CONSTANTLY being applied while the target(s) are in the storm
Though i am not sure if it would deserve to be a grand master trait, i think Master trait to decide if you want conditions or boons and maybe a Grandmaster trait to buff the skill up, that way people could go into the trait for the version they want and wouldnt have to go full into it but could if they want the buffed up storm – thinking Longer duration? or faster condition/Boon application?
yep. longer duration would do it, together with the fact that conditions will apply one after the other not at once. the longer u stay in the field the more it will stack in length of time
this should be a nice tool to put pressure in pvp fights too forcing movement, cos people have to move out of the area to cancel the effect and avoid the damage.
but im not that into pvp to be sure this wouldnt end up in spamming chaos-mesmers in pvp ^^.
The cool down could be adjusted, maybe add another 10 seconds so its on a 45second cool down, Though i think it would benefit Boon lovers more considering Condition Mesmers are pretty fragile.
I personally think that both “bunker” and Condition builds needs a bit of work on Anets part. As far as i can see their isnt a solid Bunker build compared to the likes of Engi, Ele and Guardian. The Condition builds are a bit fragile compared to say Necro.

I personally think it would be worth it. As a condition build i would love a skill to apply loads of AoE conditions just as much as i think Boon users would love all the boons.
Another option could be that if none of the traits are taken, then the skill remains unchanged. For example -
Master Trait – Would be tough. It would need to be done in a way that this ONE trait could define if you were going to be using Boons or Conditions
Grand Master – Chaos Inferno: Increase field Duration and range increases cool down by 10seconds (now 45seconds)
A trait that specifically affects chaos storm (if i understand that right) feels kinda weird…
But, hey, we currently have a whole load of useless interrupt traits that could be removed to give us something actually useful.

So if NONE of the traits are taken then the a skill remains EXACTLY as it is. You could take 1 or both traits. You could leave the effects as it it and taken the trait that buffs it as well.

mhmm, that would be nice. But i dont think arenanet agrees with us having 3 master traits :/. Ive seen some good builds trying to use the new interupt conditions already.
Oh, and prismatic udnerstanding is just pure awesomesauce.
If we could get a 3rd master trait i would like it though :P.
