Representing – Decimatin (DECM)
Elementalist main
Hey guys, started a mesmer as an alt and was really proud of the name.
Just curious what any of yall have thought of!
The name I chose is “Multiple Mesgasms”
I roleplay him as Damon Cousland.
They really need to hurry up and release the name-change items in the gem store.
My Mesmer is named Lunaticia, in honor of my favorite City of Heroes character, who died when NCSoft prematurely and maliciously pulled the plug on that game. She’s a human, and I went with the Criminal and Circus storylines, both of which provide some justification for the obvious alias.
Original Recipe Luna was an Electric Melee/Electric Armor/Mu Mastery Brute, a vicious heavy-armored melee dreadnought of blood lightning and flying fists, who felt in play like the (slightly overpowered) lovechild of a Hammer Guardian and a D/D Elementalist. She was the president, founder and only member of the Captain Mako Appreciation Society and Scrapbooking Club, the Virtue Server’s most extravagant single-member villain group. Her morality-flipped doppleganger from the Praetorian universe expansion was named Pandemonika, and was an Electric Dominator instead – a Control-heavy class with mixed Ranged and Melee options, which is a lot closer to how Mesmers play. I chose to favor that second interpretation when I made her here, because if I’d seen anything that played like the first, it would have been destined for heavy nerfs. CoH had some serious power creep in its latter years. If Elementalists ever get a bare-handed fighting style, and tweaked a little so that focusing heavily on a single element (much less Air) was more worthwhile, I’d seriously consider a reroll. But I’d keep my Mesmer (currently 53) and just change the RP concept behind her.
I’m really proud of my Mesmer’s name. Esplen.

The original idea was to make an armor set somewhat similar to Leblanc from League of Legends, then i found a nice mix set I just can’t be without. Might make an offset later though to fulfill that original goal.
Asura male – Chili Cheesin
human female : Slothstronaut
Human Female: Illucéption
Sylvari Male: Mnemos Arcana – after Mnemosyne, the greek godess of memory
Edit: Perhaps I should mention that the ‘M’ is silent – for those of you who didnt know!
(edited by Arc.7310)
Human “female”: Shinticre. A name I blatantly stole from a girl I use to know long ago. I am developing a backstory for him so I plan on adding a noble family name later. Maybe Beoulve, Deveroux, or St. Croix.
Asura Mesmer: Lilyfay
I wanted to use just ‘Fay’ but someone took it within seconds (someone who didn’t even really want the name…;_;…)
Lulled.
Like “lulled into a false sense of security”
Playasaurus, as in Playasaurus Rex
Asura.
Krizzirk. It’s spelled the same forward and backwards.
Art Honeytrap.
Human male, circus and noble birth personal stories for the lulz. I wanted something to do with the performing arts (lots of jester material in the mesmer) and something to reflect that that mesmers lure ppl in then trap them in a nightmare of combat :p
Sonn Squinteye
Small, thin, charr female
Norn female mesmer. “The Vagician”. Named after . . . hmm. . . prolly best to move along here

Human Female named Solo
Mea Culpa
/15chars…
Male Sylvari: Dr What If
My mesmer’s name is Nathi Cana
Human female, called Alusia Alate. I pronounce it uhm… german. But if you don’t know it, you can look it up in the dictionary; they are actually real english words, so it’s a talking name. In other words, it would mean something like “winged illusion”. That’s especially funny, because I’m wearing winged armor, with my staff having the skin from Caudecus Manor, and the Sword and Focus having the skin from the Seraph-weapons (human T3). This actually wasn’t planned when I’ve chosen the name, but they just happen to be the skins I like the most for this character. ^^
^Saturn, maybe u mean they are real latin words? Pretty sure alate doesn’t mean anything to most brits
<—- Dastion
Though I briefly, but not seriously, considered shooting for something like “Illusionary Warlock” or “Copyright Infringement”
^Saturn, maybe u mean they are real latin words? Pretty sure alate doesn’t mean anything to most brits
Yeah, they are derived from latin words just like many other english words. They are not known commonly, though… I found them while searching for a name for her. Alusia apparently is a medical term for illusions and the like, and Alate refers to something having wings… mostly insects (which I didn’t know; but I still like the name :P).

I think the name fits her; being a noblewoman and all.
Male Norn: Jacked Jackal
I went for the largest sized character I could get. And then I dressed him up in some flamboyant gear. (Armor in the pic is all feathered armor.) It’s surprising useful in WvW. Crews never lose site of my for stacking on portal bombs. The enemy likes to target my clones at first because they are so obvious, and then when they figure it out, a lot of times they stop targeting anything that is giant and fabulous (myself included). It’s my “Hiding in Plain Site” skill
That all said, I am the WORST at hiding in keeps.
Human Female : Morganna Woodrow
Male Norn: Pahldus Mindblade
Mesmerlex
(See account name for explantion)
Not my name, but I saw a Mesmer run around: “Illusionary Mesmer”. Got a kick out of that.
@EasymodeX:
Heh. Get a group of friends together with names like Illusionary Duelist and Illusionary Warlock.
Das Eve (I pronounce it like “deceive”)
“Endlyss”, heh name says it all
Mockingbird
I think it fits a mesmer perfectly.
Heh, Saturn your mesmer is a rare bird indeed Neither ‘alate’ nor ‘alusia’ are used in the english language outside a few niche professions. As a botanical gardener i understood ‘alate’ straight away but had to guess a bit for ‘alusia’ until i read your post more. Even though i studied latin at school, had i not become a gardener i wouldn’t have had a clue what those terms meant. To say they are “derived from latin words just like many other english words” is only partially true. “Decimate” is a commonly used english word derived from latin (even though its’ meaning has changed a bit) but if you were to walk down any high street in England you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who knew what ‘alate’ meant (maybe that’s the poor education system ^^).
Nonetheless, cherish your ‘winged illusion’ it’s very appropriate for our playstyle
Male Sylvari, named “Kemis Tree”.
for me, it justifies the butterflies….
plus my girlfriend plays a sylvari ranger, named “Poet Tree” =P
