I personally love hearing other people’s music and usually end up binge listening to new artists that way so what do you jam out to while playing mesmer? I personally am a fan of Lindsey Stirling, this song in particular. Whenever I listen to it I get an intense urge to play my mesmer

Shatter Me seems like it was made specifically for shatter mesmers, the theme and the catchy tunes are just so mesmer-ish.

Beyond the Veil is another good one (for PU mesmers maybe???).

I feel like violin(especially the way Lindsey Stirling plays it) just screams mesmer. Something fast, and elegant yet strong and chaotic at times. Can’t get enough violin when you’re playing mesmer.

I like really getting into a beat, really helps with shatter timing. I agree with Neptune 100%. Mind Wreck x4 right when a beat drops, truly epic!

Game sounds. Makes it much easier to play and improves reaction speed.

Lol, that’s awesome… like three or four days ago I stumbled over Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me” by coincidence (I didn’t check her stuff out in a while) and thought something like “Someone should probably make a video full of Mesmer-pwnage that fits the song, because it’s like THE Mesmer theme-song haha”. And now I see you guys mentioning it here in the first posts xD.

With that being said… I myself listen to the bgm and sfx of Guild Wars 2. I want to hear what’s going on around me, and I also think the bgm fits the game more than any other music would (while playing myself that is; of course for WvW-roaming videos or the like, other music makes sense). Also, the music would distract me too much. Either I’d listen to the music and wouldn’t be able to play properly (kinda deadly if you fight other players), or I would concentrate on the fighting and totally forget about the music (meaning “not even consciously hearing it”), thus there would be no point in it playing.

Depends on what I feel like listening to. I’d usually listen to electro type music or rock type music (in seperate playlists, never mixed together; it doesn’t feel right).

I listen to quite a lot of bands varying over different genres, I particuly like “some nights” by fun, especially when it breaks into the whole “this is it boys this is war” part and I’m running head on into a enemy Zerg with 4 others, then I also listen to bands like deaf havana, of mice and men, o and also some regga, rap, all sorts I guess

I usually start with Lindsey Stirling’s first or second album, followed by the other one. Then add more of her discography, some Rammstein, Queen, Volbeat and a little bit random stuff. Finnish rock, 80’s disco tunes, classical to name a few.

Jet Set seems to be my fallback soundtrack as it’s fast paced and chaotic but follows a set rhythm. Gets me into a good groove to mes all over people.
