The new expansion looks like it will be adding new weapons to the classes with the specializations. Are there any weapons that you want on your mesmer? I think that there needs to be a shortbow wielding specialization, because of all the classes, mesmer DESERVES the dreamer the most. Also, with 3 clones, that would produce 4 unicorn spamming mesmers, and I can’t think of anything more beautiful.

Main Hand Pistol. ONLY if it works like Thief dual-wielding where I shoot from BOTH pistols. None of this “your second pistol acts like a focus and you ignore it 90% of the time” like we have now.

I’d like off hand dagger, because I like iRogue so much and I expect a Phantasm like him and, possibly, another stealth skill.

More main hands would be lovely but i wouldnt say no to new Twohanded either.

Axe’s
Rifle
Pistol
Hammer
Dagger’s
Mace’s

Implement all of those and then we can talk about more offhands…

I’d love axe, warhorn or shield. Each profession gets 1 specialization and the specialization gives you 1 new weapon, which we can see from the trailer will be shield for us.

Of the current ones? Spear on land because Kamohoali’i Kotaki is best weapon.
If I get to pick any? Sickle&Chain!

Any class that gets land sharnado will instantly become my main.

I absolutely want a spear on land. I don’t even mind if the abilities are the same.

Spear, shield, pistol and bow. If they implement spear then I don’t care which class will get it – I’ll be playing this class. Oh god – mesmer with 2 pistols (very offensive condi) or with spear (power or bunker build with many boons), it would be amazing for me.

We get a shield, that’s it. But I’d like to get a fan aswell.

Others brought up the fan, and i gotta agree that fans would be coolest. Make them unique to Mesmers. (eh maybe Air Elementalist?).

I used to always want the dual pistol, as many do; but I was just thinking how cool it would be to have a hammer. To summon a phantasm that knocks the crap out of your foe. It would be pretty interesting to have an illusion skill for a knockback.

I am really curious what skills we’ll have with the shield though. Shame it’ll only be two, but one will be a phantasm. We already have the defender, so I can’t wait to find out what it could be.

Just not an axe! As much as i love my dual axe ranger, mesmer is not a profession that should be seen with those.

you can forget about hammer, riffle, mace, axe.

Sure is you get a shield offhand.
the only weapon that a mesmer can get are:

bow (this one pretty much sure),
warhorn (75%)
pistol (50%)
dagger(25%)

Main hand pistol would be my choice. We already have way more offhands than we have main hands. Maces and axes are brutish weapons, in my opinion, and don’t suit the mesmer elegance too well I feel.

But ya. We’ll prolly get shield for even more offhands. x.x

Since a whip/chain whip/flail-style weapons (either as main or offhand) is probably out of the question, I’d love Spear. I find it really suitable for an illusive class and I actually like fighting underwater as mesmer <.<

Of the above suggestions, throwing knives is my favourite. That’d be cool, too.
