WvW mesmer build, need help
Personally, I dont think you need the traits in Inspiration, and If you want to be useful in Zerging, you should probably not be trying to run a phantasm build, as your phantasms will exist for a single cast of thier skill before they’re dead from AOE and cleaving.
I’ve never needed to trait into inspiration to kill rangers, and it seems like you are putting a lot of trait eggs into your phantasms and focus.
What confuses me is that your traiting includes the buff to phantasms, but you have 0 points in dueling, so you don’t capitalize on Phantasmal Fury, which really is what takes phantasm damage up the next level.
You’ve got a very high damage, very tanky mesmer here. If you tried a 0/2/6/0/6 build, with either Imbued Diversion (F3 shatter hits 5 people per clone) or Illusionary Persona (allows you to shatter yourself for an instant interrupt) you could open up your options to include a few more interrupts.
If it were me, i would run a pistol instead of a focus. Focus tends to be more situational, and although its fun to pull 5 people, it’s almost impossible to actually get an interrupt in there as well. Pistol gives you a little more access to stuns and CC/Daze to work with your BI/CI. A tad easier to control IMO.
I think you might be spreading yourself too thin with the Inspiration line here. The Inspiration minors all buff phantasms, which are notoriously unreliable in Zerg v Zerg. I know that the map control aspect of the Warden’s Feedback sounds nice on paper, but sometimes it can also be a liability in WvW. If you drop a temporal curtain on that 80 man zerg at the wrong time, there’s a distinct possibility that you can get insta-gibbed by retaliation damage if you’re not prepared for it.
For what it sounds like you’re trying to do, I’d suggest playing around with a 4/4/6/0/0 or 2/6/6/0/0 variant. This would buff your mantras and shatters at the same time. Use reduced condition duration food to make up for the loss of Mender’s Purity if you need to.

In my opinion, the 0/2/6/0/6 build seems better in PvP than in wvw. But with this one, we loose “halting strike” and that’s one of the build’s aim.
Take a pistol instead of a focus might be a good idea. I’ll try both of them, because the pistol (4) has only a simple target.

The 4/4/6/0/0 build might be better I think. Something like this one ? http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fhEQNAW8alknpUt1oxENUrNipRY654cSGkUyyTA-T1SBABQv/QWKz2UVH0UCilSjKVLAFNC4pLYhHAgGXEAAOCABAQAu5NzmBc0je0je0j2Nv5Nv5NvZZAWGDA-w
You sure like vitality… looks far too tanky to me. I was running with less tank in frontline groups, about 1 year ago, you really don’t need that kind of protection for a “midline” build that can get in (sw) and out (staff) from combat fast and will try to focus on interrupts…
The real problem I see, from my experience (currently in top bronze league/EU), Mantra of Distraction in WvW is pretty much useless in the current meta: way too many guardians giving stability and aegis to everyone around them, in particular during the regroups, when you want to interrupt the empowering/blasting of water fields.
I abandoned the idea of making a interrupt build for WvW for the moment, but I don’t know about the meta on the server you are playing on. Your mileage may vary.

I play on Augury Rock (yes I’m french :P ). So we are fighting against guilds with 25-30 members, sometimes more, sometimes less (but unbalanced fight in our favour are not interesting).
The vitality in my build is usefull because of the rune of exuberance. If I change for a full soldier build, I’ve got more power, equal thougness and less hp.
But, of course, I can try something else and play a build with a mix between Knight and cavalier gears, but I don’t want it (and you’ve got something like 2k8 armor and 200% critical damage). And I don’t really like GS with mesmer so I don’t want to have one.
I saw some of your videos about mesmer in WvW and how you played it, so I think that your advice about “interrupts build” is in the right way. But, I want to keep the trait “halting strike” because it can be usefull, we have so many way to interrupt. So, I might change the mantra of distraction with or mantra of concentration, blink or signet of midnight. This signet is a break stun and when we use it, we blind nearby foes. Can be usefull I think against war and hammer (F1). Which one should I take ?
@Menaka : sometimes you played with a sword/torche. Why did you choose a torch ?

if you play in an organized group and you are confident your group has enough boon stripping necros and mesmer to remove all the aegis/stability, interrupts might work, but from what I’ve seen it’s really hard to cleanse the constant spam of boons…

I really like hoelbrak for ranged and melandru for melee oriented builds. Travelers for more mobility or even runes of the pack… you really want at least 40-50% crit chance if you want to bring some damage to your guild (on top of your utilities).

Mantra of concentration if you plan on staying with the frontlines most of the time, Blink if you are playing ranged.

For small scale/roaming is mostly useful to lose the focus (if an enemy group is focusing you, you go stealth and reposition). In the frontlines can add a decent amount of damage to your spike, work as a defense to lose the targeting of backline focusers (thieves and such) or even to blast water fields, but that requires good timing…
Also, consider that focus phantasm was broken since late October 2013 and has been fixed only recently.
