WvsW Outnumbered [Psy] Videos
Looking through past videos and builds, and this one didn’t get any love — despite being a really strong individual and group video. I liked the build/gear a lot too, though noticed that the OP hkittentered Concentration and Shattered Conditions, though he doesn’t really utilize shatters that often. Wonder if those could be better placed.

This is pretty similar to what I run for WvW. Some of it involves the strength of the build, and some of it is because it’s also strong in PvE and I’m too lazy to respec all the time.
I replaced Shattered Conditions with Medic’s Feedback. Given that I’m running in Zergs a lot, there are generally plenty of corpses. A well-placed feedback dome in the middle of the engagement is insane. Between Feedback, Medic’s Feedback, Phantasmal Warden, Temporal Curtain, and Mirror as my heal, a TON of damage is getting reflected. Remember that reflections work both ways- 1000 damage reflected is often 1000 damage done to the enemy and also 1000 damage prevented to a team mate.
I also replaced the Boon stripping with GS cooldown. I just find that my shatters rarely land in ZvZ, so I’d rather toss a zerker up or knockback more frequently than get the occasional, unpredictable boon strip. Plus GS clones appearing on my target, and dying instantly to AoE damage usually results in a small AoE cripple thanks to crippling dissipation. That and zerker→tons of movement control.
I’d also re-evaluate Blade Training in large groups. Desperate Decoy and Phantasmal Fury can be nice. I just find that sword isn’t my most used weapon in large-scale attacks. I can see pairing that combo with Shattered Conditions to strip movement-impairing conditions. Probably a handy combo in small encounters though.
with only 2.6k toughness youre gonna get rolled, keep planning as you can get higher tougness without loosing any dps, im currently at 3.4k tougness with the same offensive stats as you apart from power which is at 2.8k, (thats easily boosted form team members) :P

Armor is not toughness.

You right about my shatter utilize, i should use it much more often, i think that in that team “Shatter condition” trait is good, i just have to pratice more :p

I like your changes, but for a team fight i love too much focus and staff skill so i prefer to dont drop this weapons. Whatever i think that i’ll test your tips soon.

I got low armor due to 2 guardian and 1 elementalist in the team, they buff protection to me quite often. Also we try to coordinate ourselves to do very often the combo (field ethereal+blast) to buff to the team chaos armor that bring to us protection at last one of the 2 guardian has the trait “Strenght in numbers” to buff another 150 thougness to the team.
Very well done, nice fights!

After I saw the initial post, I swapped to this build and loved it. Eventually began playing some other toons because, frankly, I’m not as good as you to pull these outnumbered fights off. But overall, I think its one of the best large scale builds out there; the reflects are really something.
Great teamwork, and some impressive heal/boons/cleansing from your teammates too.
Have you tried this build as a 0/2/2/3/0, with staff trait?

Thk, ye i tired the 0/20/20/30/0 build and i like it , but i love so much “crippling dissipation” trait it help a lot the team to kite in the zerg situation. Prolly i have to think back about “shattered concentration” because in outnumbered situation the clones die easily and its hard to shatter in the right moment to dispell boon on enemy. In the future i’d like to test 10/20/10/30/0 taking “master of manipilation” trait to increase a bit my mobility.

@ Nefejrangh,
This is a really interesting build! Just wondering, do you think it would be more effective with perplexity runes? I’ve been looking for something along these lines to play around with but I wasn’t sure if the extra confusion would make a difference.

Perplexity’s great. I run pretty much t he same build and between staff and focus- lots of interrupts.
Personally, I run Centaur. AoE Swiftness for me and my group, paired with Mantra heal, is an absolute must.
Also, Crippling Dissipation is awesome, just be careful of how much you ACTUALLY contribute. I’d always pictured CD as a keystone talent.. then when I paired it with some other “clone death” skills in large battles I realized how little my clones were actually dying near an enemy.

Rune of perplexity are really cool, atm my gear/spec its focussed on full power damage so i dont think that confusion from that rune will do a decent damage. In future i’d like to test some hibrid spec, in that case the perplexity’s rune will be my firs choice.

About “crippling dissipation” trait you right, expecially in outnumbered situation often the enemy istant kill ranged my illusion without any good benefit for me. But a simple way to take advantage from this trait is in a kiting situation where i can doge roll or summon an illusion to the closest enemy, in this way its a really good aoe snare.
