What are you guys using as weapon skins, i am having a hard time finding skins that look “right” for my character. The “Illusion” weapons such as The Anomaly look really good but they are to expensive and would be like 400-500g :/

Been thinking about the Asura T3 but i am not to keen on the greatsword it just feels too “big” width wise though i like effects they have.

One of the necros starting mask trickster demon.Depending on what other gear i have on i also use the arah mask or skull mask.

Sword : Sclerite and Fiery Sword
GS : Fused and Zephyr
Staff : Emberspire
Scepter : Emberglow
Pistol : Fused
Torch : Fate of Menzies
Focus : Meatoberfest and Zephyr

I have multiple skins for almost every usable mesmer weapon but i guess ill name my favs and the one i wear the most

Scepter: Fractal scepter
Pistol: Fractal pistol
Staff: Zenith skin (the only good looking staff in the whole game including the crappy legendary)

I use a TA GS and Bolt for my Sylvari.

i’m currently using all Super skins for my mes, i think they fit quite well with all the illusion deal

Very interesting, some have gone for some VERY un-mesmer like weapons and armor skins.

I think mesmers should use sleek and simple weapons. In lore they’re a very subtle and stylish profession so i tend to think weaponry should reflect that. I stick to simple swords but flashier staves.

Sword- Infinite Light
Pistol- Ilya
Greatsword- Sunrise
Staff- Fused or Jade.
Focus – Fused.

Sword Mainhand – Super Sword
Sword Offhand – Whisperblade
Staff – Peacemaker (Asura T3)

I’m interested in changing the Super Sword to the Aether Rapier, but will still need to preview it when it comes out if it fits my armor (Asura T3).

I use the nightmare wand, pistol, and greatsword because purple :P

For now:
Staff: Zenith … ’tis Teh Smexxy.
GS: Kyrnswarden – I eventually want Vision of the Mists, tbh.
Sword (MH) – Warden
Sword (OH) – Glyphic … eventually Nightmare.
Sceptre – Oikomene
Pistol – Zenith
Torch – Molten
Focus – Toy Bell skin. Looking at Bloodseeker or Anomaly.
Spear – Gungnir
Trident – Steamfire

God I hate every GS in this game, some have good hilts but lame blades, other lame blades but good hilts, some are awesome skins with crappy effects, others have awesome effects with crappy skins. Frankly I’m disappoint even in the legendaries. Oh and as a mesmer single side feels weird to spin and shoot a beam from. Anyways…

Great Sword – Ghastly during the day (love that swords skin) and Zenith at night cuz the AC glow can go to hell.

Staff – The 2 I use is Melandru’s Gaze and Zenith. (Also got jade for funs cuz I got a lucky drop use it every now and then)

Sword – main hand: Dark Asuran, Offhand: glyphic (I love the contrast), Scepter/Sword off hand: adventure box cuz I like the mix.

Scepter – Emberglow (cuz it looks like an actual weapon or mini staff)

Focus – Anomaly

Pistol – Pact and Zenith

Torch – Zenith (cuz there are no torches I like even less so than GS, at least blue flame at a proper size with a cool crystal Handel is nice)

Vision of the mists, whisperblade, the anomaly

Currently I’ve just started working on Kraitkin, which I think will go well with my look (it’s such a cool skin that it warrants making an aquatic legendary in my opinion). Also, I’d like to get my hands on a Fractal Torch and Fractal Sword because I really like both of those skins.

Theirs a few, each weapon has a version, The Anomaly is another Focus one. They all look pretty cool but are VERY expensive

These are the weapons I use mostly, the other ones I use very rarely so I don’t have a preferred skin for them:

Pistol and GS (and sword, though I very rarely use it) – Zenith skin (I have the super skins also for staff and GS that I replaces with zenith but didn’t want to lose).
Staff – Jade staff
Scepter – Princess Wand (hey, I like it :P… goes well with my fatty male norn.. )

My skin and armor are dark purple and I don’t like the way they look with Whisperblade/Anomaly/etc., so for me it’s just legendaries (Bolt and Kamohoali’i Kotaki; I’m not crazy about Twilight/Sunrise with my gear, but I’m hopeful that some of the upcoming ones will match better) and Fractal skins (still waiting on some drops). And I kind of like Flux Matrix.

If you’re looking for skins, you might also try some of the galleries out there, either Dulfy’s or the wiki’s. For some weapons, like focus, it’s fun just to see how widely different the options are.

I use the Krytan Sword skin (lol) as a Berserker’s sword. It’s one of the most “rapier~ish” sword I’ve seen ingame, so I thought it would match. I have 4 other swords, for different builds, but most of them use the Fiery Dragon Sword.

I’m trying to get Bolt, but Anet had stated they wanted new Legendaries, so I might hold off.

For GS, I use the Fellblade, or the Zenith. Depending on build again. Not really a fan of GS.

Focus, either the Anomaly or my AC focus. AC is my PTV while Anomaly is Berserker’s.

Staff, either AC staff or SAB. SAB for condition, AC for general use.

Torch, the Zenith one was really nice. I used to have the verdant one, as it resembled a flower and reminded me of the “Rose” focus we had in GW1.

Scepter, either Emberglow (the long flame scepter) or my HoM one. They both look really cool in my opinion.

Pistol, Illya. I mean it’s one of our most Mesmer~y weapons in the game. It’s even named after one of the human twin goddesses! I play on making another Illya if we ever get dual pistols, because Lyss is very expensive compared to Illya.

@LumAnth: haha, I use Krytan Sword skin too. You must be very excited as I am now for the upcoming (supposedly) Aetherized rapier skin.

Lots of love here for the Zenith staff. I kind of have to agree. I was trolling around with my thief when it gave me the choice of Zenith weapon. I looked at them and was disappointed. I thought, “what am I supposed to do with this crystally nonsen—omgmymesmer!” I cracked out the shattered dragon wings I was sitting on and she’s never looked sexier.
