the basic phantasm build with minor tweeks. Mirror images for the f4 shatter. I like the way izerker works on mobs and bosses. Masses of mobs: temporal curtain placed on wall—>into the void—> iwarden—>leap—>swap—>blurred frenzy—>roll away—>izerker. Bosses: GS and devise stratagems XD
Damage dealer and some cc. I join pug groups for fotm40+ and this works well with any party.

What you described is not fixed on trait builds, but on weapons. It’s common tactic to pull the mobs together for (melee) AoE-ing and with the focus you have to do so towards the nearest wall. Then bursting your AoEs …..
You already chose a build and you seem to have your priorities set.
To your skills:
- Instead of nullfield try things like pDisenchanter, Signet of inspiration and for survival purposes blink. At the JadeMaw I like Signet of Midnight to (stunbreak) blind the tentacles right before they hit you.
- If you often fight close range, just test healing mantra, maybe it’ll suit your style.
To your traits:
- As said before, you seem to have priorities set, and that barely left you freedom. But for FotM I’d miss the focus trait (and the illusion damage).
- Also remember that +3% dmg per illusion doesn’t affect illusions.
To your equip:
- If you manage to not fall to the ground every 10s with those equips, feel free to use them. For my taste, I’d mix in a bit of toughness. Especially for helping revving others, but I’m not a zerker build, so I try to help others <.<
- [ Edit ] Can you explain me your choice of runeset ? It’s not that bad, but mesmers barely have access to fury. I’d rather use 6 ruby orbs …
- Remember that the Sigil of force (in your sword) does not affect illusions, better use sigil of accuracy, battle, strength, blood, pow stack or prec stack. [/ Edit ]

Asking if any of the pro-mesmers out there can share their high lvl fotm builds and general play philosophy.
(new to forums so not certain if a topic like this has been started b4)
I play mostly fractal since they were launched 48 usually.
Play philosophy is easy, stack as much reflect you while keeping as much sustained DPS you can and enough utilities to survive.
mirror image is the Emergency setup for a F4 distortion if you need it.
Blade mastery to get more Blurred frenzies.
Illusionary celerity because you need as much phantasms up asap in case they die, your target dies or you just need 3.
Remember just to change isnpiration VIII to IX at old tom because reflect won t stop his shots while absorb will.
Also on mobile bosses like svanir and mossman you could want to change focus with a pistol.
Sigil choice:
Purity or generosity on GS to not waste slots in cleanse utilities…..
Stregth and accuracy are already mandatory as best sigil for this weaponset.
Try this build is almost the same you are using but with more advantages expecially suited for fotms.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

main reason for this thread is I want to try something new that I can still use my zerker ascended while I can craft any armor and weap
@Nretep: Thank you for your suggestions, I’ll certainly try some. reason for the rage rune is it procs a surprisingly large amount it give crit damage (also I did not know I could put orbs there :o)
This is what I use, similar to most older, pre-6/25 patch fractal builds but it no longer takes illusionist’s celerity:
There is also the Phantasm build by Skoteinos, which is similar to LordByron’s, and has a video guide:
Both are very solid for high-level fractals.

I was wondering if something like

could be useful or just silly XD
I hope y’all don’t mind if I use some of this info for the guide. Some good stuff here.
