Alright so i like the mesmer class, and i really want to make mine more support based, healing and giving boons and gettin rid of conditions, while still be able to help a grp with dmg. is it possible?… if so whats the build look like and what stats should i be making a priority?

You could always go staff with full chaos and boon duration runes etc, be super tanky, and use signet of inspiration to share your love to all.

Plenty of other traits etc you could choose from. Phantasm regeneration to nearby allies, energy regen on shatter to allies, etc etc.

Chaos Storm and Glamour skills are excellent support, especially with Blast finishers to give everyone Chaos Armour.

Phantasmal Healing can provide your group with permanent Regeneration (assuming people know to stand next to your Phantasms), which is especially potent if you invest in Healing Power.

Winds of Chaos, which is also cast by Staff Clones, gives allies Might and Fury and inflicts your foes with Vulnerability.

Mantra of Pain and the trait Restorative Mantras is basically a group heal every 5 seconds if required, although you can’t do much else during the 3 seconds of channelling.

Phantasmal Defender, despite its description, actually protects multiple allies, not just yourself: it works by applying an effect called Illusion of Defense to nearby allies when it attacks, drawing half of the damage dealt to them to itself.

Phantasmal Disenchanter can keep conditions off yourself and your allies, as well as stripping boons from enemies.

Mesmer are more offensive supporter with AoE utility, rather then standard healer. Phantasm healing (if you spec that way) will get dismissed when their targeted mobs are kill so I find healing through them very ineffective in a fast paced fights.

Now if you want to be a boon-buffer that deals decent condition damage. You can get 30% boon duration in Chaos path. Then eat Chocolate Cream food for up to 20% boon duration or eat Pizza food for up to 40% condition duration.

One of the greatest combo a Boon-Mesmer can do in a boss fight is have Lyssa Rune’s (Gain all boons for 5 seconds when using Elite skills) + Time Warp (Elite skills)+ Signet of Inspiration (Spread all your boons to others) for a huge spike of damage.

You can most definitely play a supportive role while maintaining respectable damage.
