Guild Wars 2

Hi all, I’m a multi-class kinda guy and I mainly do pvp.
I’ve mastered all professions and Mesmer is the last one I gotta master.
I prefer fighting between 300-600 range.

Made a mesmer 2 days ago, is now at lvl 80 and tried out a celestial Staff/GS build. It works alright but I’m positive that there are some other AMAZING builds out there.

My Question and reason for this topic.
What build do you run and why? + what is your preferred play-style?
Is there a mesmer mentor on youtube?

Does anyone have an interrupt build? <- want to try one.

Theres plenty of resources on the forums above where you posted, also i’d drop the Cele gear if you actually want to get into what mesmers are all about.

PvP wise, you can pick between

PU
Shatter
or
Lock down-ish

Personally I run Shatter builds because I like being able to hit my F1-F4 kills, lately its been a 6/4/4 for sPvP with Assassins Amulet + CS as the GM Trait. Main goal is just to troll Fights in progress or screw up rotations in group fights, using stuns + sigil of Impact to land Shatter bursts.

Not the greatest thing ever but its more fun for me than running a cookie cutter build.

I run a Melee-ish ranged lockdown build with Sword+Focus/Staff. Staff, despite how it looks, grows stronger the closer you are to opponents and sword/focus is a pretty melee-heavy set.

Why do I run it? Well, because it’s really strong, takes practice to eb good at, a lot of fun, and can be very effective in group fights. Also because there aren’t many lockdown Mesmer in NA.

And if ya join OMFG, you’ll find tons of other Mesmers to play with or learn from. There’s no repping requirements, so you can just keep it as a resource to dip into when ya need. Otherwise you can PM people like Fay (pyroathiest), Warlord of Chaos, skcamow, or myself for more direct info.
