I am also not quiting but i guess my teammates in spvp will have to deal with me playing a subpar spec…

My spec is actually stronger at the end of the day for spvp, so I won’t be changing classes. However, I still expected much more from Anet in terms of improving the class.

I will, however, be much more wary of rangers in hard to reach places.

Mhh the only spec that could have become stronger is a spectral build.

I run dagger (buffed), warhorn, (buffed), and spectral armor (buffed). Then DS interaction is nice, of course.

The patch was extremely disappointing for a lot of reasons, but it didnt hurt me at all.

I will not quit since i run wells in wvw. So axe was a buff for me and the nerf to plague form, well just another documented fail from Anet, move on, nothing to see here.

Though I hope that someone jumps up and comes with a new build that is worth testing…

You can’t make a new build out of the same skills and traits. That’s the whole problem with this patch. If anything I feel more pushed into my builds.

Haha, very true… Well, in that respect, my build got “buffed” even though it is still the same :P

My Warrior has one epic build though! I hope most bugs are worked out soon, because I want to test it badly

I had a grand ol kittening time running this yesterday, granted it seemed like there were an awful lot of kitten pvpers yesterday but I was tearing it up. I never really used to use that whole lich duration anyway and I’m not rocking wells or anything and this is basically what I’ve been using for a while now with a few slight variations.

That is actually a very interesting build! Just wondering though, is it worth dropping Banshee’s Wail and getting Path of Corruption instead? I personally love the skill, and it would fit within a DS rotation actually

Also want to point out that while our builds didnt change, warriors and thieves got some nerfs this patch, which improves our standing indirectly.

I was running poc before the patch, I will still swap that in along with offhand dagger, corrupt boon instead of BiP and occasionally hoelbrak.

i’m not quitting yet..but anet is sure trying to get rid of us necromancers..lol they seem to be pushing us to the edge. i have 14 character slots and most are necro’s.so i get hit hard when they change necro’s..in Guildwars 1 i was/am a necro..and loved it..but here they seem to be trying to wipe us out..i’m holding out hoping they will come thru for us.

Sounds solid and worth trying… I’d like a corrupt power build, as I am, despite of how I like it, quite tired of runningTerror/Corrupt (Even though I do run the standard 6/x/x/x/6 as well)

Am I quitting Necro? Not yet. But I very likely have to change my build entirely, since Flesh of the Master now has a pretty game breaking bug associated with it.

I am enjoying the gloriously small numbers that my hybrid, procc-centered, SoV build produces.
Atleast i have some fun with it (thief, war changes and mes condi buffs play in favour) except when someone of the ranger master race notices me…
Also axe tweaks are pretty decent.

Just tried 0/4/4/06 shatter condi mesmer and rolled my face over the keyboard while stealthed and won. Very fun, but horribly OP. I’ll playing that for a couple of days, than gonna try godmode with ranger, maybe give guard a try but than it’s back to my powermancer because nothing beats a good powermancer. (As in ‘nothing beats a warm bowl of soup on a cold day’ I’m not saying no one beats me :P)

Considering quitting GW2. Between the necro changes and the leveling changes, I just feel like I’m dealing with a company who’s vision and interpretation of the game is confused at best, and dismissive at worst.

I still enjoy necro the most, but I moved from team competitor to hot join hero months ago.

I actually made it my main very recently running DS 6/2/0/0/6 jerker with strength runes in pve and wvw EOTM and I absolutly regret not running this class sooner. Such a beast. Will not be qutting necro probably ever unless they are just nerfed into a point where they are just 100% non viable.

Got a ranger to 80 yesterday in EotM, and I am starting a mesmer just to see how rolling on the keyboard feels. I still have my necro to fall back on, but until we are given a bit more in the attrition department, as we were promised, I will run a more synchronized profession.

Maybe once ANet realizes that one of our trait lines (Blood Magic) is a waste and a detriment to our main class mechanic (DS) I’ll roam (pun intended) to the other classes.

So I play a lot of solo and mostly unorganized team Q which I really enjoy, and I’ve had multiple matches without a single warrior, but many more rangers. S/D thieves are less common, so less worrying about getting jumped between points. Lich was changed but it didn’t break the skill.

As much as the changes failed to open builds and be interesting, I’m actually quite happy with my necro right now for pvp, and WvW is unchanged.

If I were a PVE necro I’d still be raving mad, but for pvp I think we are doing ok.

But there’s really nothing new, so I’m playing my Ranger now, crafting new builds and pew pewing from time to time

I have no idea why people saying necro is underpower. Necro is most likely one of the best support in the game for sPvP when dealing with people using conditions. Signet of undead (forget name) takes conditions from your teammates in a 1200 radius, this lets my teammates not even bother traiting for cond removal and I can use it on the enemy and literally bomb them with it.

In terms of death shroud, it’s working as intended and doesn’t really need fixing. Also DS is based off vit/toughness, I can’t tell you how broken this is as I’ve tanked 3 players trying to burst me down and can’t even kick me out of DS because spectral armor kicked in and I’m getting more life force % per hit than they can deal. Seriously, all the decent players left the game and all you got left are the bads crying left and right instead of understanding why they lost in the first place.

Necros definitely do not have the best support in PvP. We’re good, but in a damage role.

sPvP necro is about the same Id say maybe some say Power Got boosted, I dont think so Cleave yes, Axe nah Its still a pathetic weapon that only hits bad players imho. Condi nec still have its place.

In WvW Zerg Wellomance still dominates AoE – but meh not for me

In WvW/PvP/Roam were I spend 805 of my time Condi Nec totally dominates Power Necs and still do after this patch, I will still run Power just out of spite and utter disgust of Condi in this game but fact is fact.

PvE – never do it

I think the main issue ppl are disbanding and giving up on the Necro isnt the nerfs or lack of things we wish for, its this time around other classes that were on par with us pulled away… and a class that were behind us passed us. We kinda atm is the kid picked last for the team in school.

Attrition ? Anet plz explain once and for all
Movement

Iam sticking around until till CU Alpha but tbh then Iam gone aswell
