One can get Power/Toughness/Vitality gear…..

But there is no Condition Damage/Toughness/Vitality gear.

Seems rather unfair. My ideal build uses as little Precision or Healing Power as possible given the low returns on my abilities for those stats, but if I want to emphasize Condition Damage, I’m stuck taking gear with stats that are sub par at best.

What would it be called? It’s not like they can have every stat on every single one, can they? You would need a lot of names for different combinations.

There’s no healing power, critical damage and vitality either, which sucks.

Would love this gear on either necro or mesmer. I hope they give more choices in the future.

Seriously? You think they’d have problems coming up with a kittening name?

Did a quick spreadsheet on the main and minor count of each 3 stat mod.

Power has 3 main and 8 minor choices.

Condition damage comes out at 2 main and 3 minor.

All fine and dandy except that our power related attacks are either location locked dots, melee range or so slow it can be outrun.

Honestly it seems we should be spending more time in DS popping off LBs than we at present can, if going by the numbers. This likely because they spent the time since the last BW to reduce our bunker effectiveness but failed to up our damage output to compensate.

Another facet to the issue….

Most conditions take time to deal their damage, which is a double whammy on top of most good condition stat gear having a large defensive hole of some sort, which further reinforces condition damage as being sub-par compared to direct damage in practice.

Does Precision not affect Condition damage?

Stealth nerfs are the perfect fertilizer for mistrust.

Conditions don’t crit. But precision may proc conditions depending on build / weapon runes.

I would imagine that the lack of Vit-Tough-Cond gear is due to balancing concerns.

Why minimize healing power? Vitality is an overrated stat.

If we’re requesting our ideal stat distribution, i’d say cond/tough/heal is the only combo not currently available that i’d really like to see.

Vitality isn’t as overrated as healing power is from my experience. Having enough HP to survive a fight without putting a heal on cool down seems to work out better.

Though I would not mind condition/toughness/healing gear either…..at least toughness and healing power seem to have a better synergy than condition/precision does.

If you have a fight where you don’t need to put your heal on cooldown, then it probably didn’t matter which gear you are wearing.

Actually, with a decent toughness and vitality, I can often flicker in and out of DS to soak damage and not need the heal for every single fight.

Almost like gear matters there.

Fights ‘harder’ than that are usually only hard due to CC or massive spike damage flying around, but good luck using anything much less a heal then as a necro.
