That is the coolest looking toon I have seen, probably in any game, I’ve not done many instances and never been in Arah, the vendor in in LA?

All the dungeon vendors sit in a row just north of the WvW portals in LA, past the target dummies on the left.

Imo above all the fail design gear in the game, this is the best anyone can get for the Necromancer.

Human Cultural Tier3 Bracers;
Cof Leggins;
Dredge Boots.

The best armor for a necro would be heavy armor or medium armor after you reroll a war or a thief after you get sick of eating dirt on yout necromancer because you have kitten for stun breaks.

I want to incorporate CoF Shoulders and hands at some point.
I’m also looking for a better top peice, however.

For me it’s Feathered leggings/shoulders, cof gloves/boots, wraith masque and t1 sylvari top. Though I’d change head&shoulders with arah if I could.

For me it would be either Cof in combination with Karma oldgate and Named sets (http://postimage.org/image/6mxs7aghh/full/) or Orr+AC+Crafted.
If you wanna go Stripper then TA + Winged + Human cultural seems to have less on than without any armor.

I don’t think there is a best. We need more options!

I find Arah too puffy, makes you look like some evil robed granny. Dry Bones is probably the best low level, but you get it like in the 2nd 10-20 level zone, don’t want to use all the way till 80.

Until they have better dark caster looking options, I prefer the Khilbron with Deathly Mantle shoulders.

Here’s mine. Some may say “but he doesn’t look very necromancer-y.” And you’re right, but that’s the point. He’s of noble birth, the ninth of his name, descended from one of Tyria’s heroes of old. He’s proud of and wants to live up to that heroic legacy, and dressing yourself in skulls and bones screams “villain.” Plus, why dress like he’s a grave robber when he can go in all the class and style afforded by his high station? As to the blue and orange-y yellow/gold, those are the colors of his family crest.

Personally i love Arah armor, combinated with a nice eyes from a necro character and with the backpack of the karka´s event it seem pretty good

Well, looks like compared to everyone else’s sets. neither of my two look like stuff Necromancers would wear. I feel Like a dirty Elementalist here now Q-Q;;

Oh well, 75% of the time when Im in my White set Im in Death shroud anyway.

Here’s my most prized possession

I really like the Khilbron/Seer set on my necro. I feel it’s the closest thing to the GW1 cultist-type armors.

I have a transmuted Deathwish (transmuted it onto a Rabid staff) for the same reason, as it’s basically the GW1 bonestaff model.

My scepter and dagger are Jade models, which match my armor’s dyes.

Statwise, I run full rabid in every slot, since I’m a WvW condition necro.

I would suggest using arah or dry bones set. They suit the necro best.

There isn’t another legendary wpn choice for condimancer :P I would prefer black staff with green aura. But their designers don’t like necros that much.
I sometimes use celestial and several different frosty dyes as alternative color scheme to fit bifrost. Looks kinda priestish with these colors.

Meh full arah is cheezy and cliched imo, its like when you see a warrior running around in full CoF…

“Best”, of course, is completely subjective; but here’s my contribution:

Norn Beer>Norn Necromancers>warm fire and a good meal>rest

For those looking for a good cloth armor on a Charr, this is what I got from hours of research

Skull mask
Shadow shoulders and gloves
Dredge Coat
Kodan pants and boots

Rename topic to “Lets See Your Necromancer 2014 edition” and admins might just sticky this

tbh, most armors are fugly as guck and non necro specific. and if they look ok ish on a male, the femals armor looks crap and vice versa..

Too bad you have to spend gems to make your necro look a bit decent.

HAH! All you noobish necromancers don’t even know how a necromancer should look! stop clinging to one set and MIX! the amount of transmutation stones i used for my sets so far is quite huge… I went for that priest of grenth look. so, what did i get?

winged hood: it’s what the priests of grenth wear, and it looks awesome
deathly bull’s mantle: because it’s skulls…
cabalist chest: it’s got a belt with skulls and potions, also it goes very wel with the gloves
CoF gloves: you hide the flames, dye it white, and voila! EPIC BONE HANDS!
and then, to go easy on trans stones, just get exalted gear :p it finishes the furry theme of the set, and also, looks kitten when dyed well.

Well I think most of the light armors are more mesmerish looking so I thought outside the box for Dalila. I did purchase a gemshop armor set and added wings. I use the mask when in WvW. I think she looks modern yet very dark.

To be fair though we should be voting on other people’s rather than our own

For me, when I want my asura to look good as a necro, I use savant chest, gloves, and boots, with student pants and aurora helmet. I also use either shadow of grenth or synergetic spinal blades as my backpiece.

I don’t like my male character to wear robe

Maybe not general Necros, but definitely think this looks great for Sylvari Necros! ^^

It’s a combination of Snapdragon and Orchid armor pieces with the body being the Nightmare robe chest piece.

I love being able to NOT going around on robes. So I tried a look a la Necromonger from Ridkitten’s movies. Mostly Honor the Waves dungeon armor, norn cultural armor, and some other stuff mixed up.
