Hello, im pretty new to necro and im trying to develop a new build.

For now im running a pure well build with staff/Axe-focus or dagger focus
Traits are: 5-10-25-30-0. Also running knights gear.

But what i want to try is a condition based wellomancer. So basically i wanna run with scepter-??/staff. And i want to find a balance between the tank/heal im running now into more dps.

So any tips on setup and what gear to run with this? And will it be affected, or should i try to go more towards the power wellomancer build?

Im running alot of WvW, but i want something that can be used for pve aswell. Basically i want more dps

To be honest (and this is from a PvE perspective), you’ll get the best DPS from a Powermancer build.

I’ve run and enjoyed a 15/25/0/30/0 build that emphasizes both Wells and Siphons. I’ve only ever run it in full Zerker gear, and have had no problem staying alive. Tanked champs on a regular basis—it all boils down to knowing the champ and cycling your Wells and siphons appropriately.

That being said, I’ve found it moderately successful in WvW, but I prefer 30 in Soul Reaping for on-demand stability. But as soon as you go that route you lose some core components of the Well build.

I’m honestly not familiar enough with ConD/Support to offer any insight into how to build for that. I suppose you could run a 0/20/20/30/0 build with Staff and Apothecary gear. But I’ll let others weigh in there.

Ye, running with apothecary gear is what i consider as the best option. But as it is pretty expensive it would be good to learn from someone with experience from the setup :P

Look up Nemesis on youtube. Very in depth guides for necros.

Look up Ascii’s WVW Well build. Might not be 100% what you are looking for but he covers a lot of info and you can take that and tailor to your wants / needs.

He’s focused on Minions, but the play style is the same with Apoth gear. Rather than healing Minions, however, you’d be healing your party, etc.

Its possibly too squishy for WvW, but its hard to get both good survivability and higher DPS. The Protection on wells helps alot with survivability. I’d also probably swap Hemophilia to either Enfeebling Blood or Focused Rituals for wvw.

For a while there was some focus on conditions / wells builds based on carrion gear. “Nibonisen” posted a Youtube video a while back that might be useful for you to look at, if I remember right he ran 0/30/10/0/30… whether or not the build would still work I’m not sure about. It seems as if deep power or deep conditions are getting most of the attention nowadays.
