What rune set do you guys reccomend?

Sigils… 2 X bleed duration sigils work? build is low crit chance so thinking bleed proc sigil wouldnt be as good as duration as long as both sigils stack.

is there a cap on condition duration? is it 100% ? or can you just keep going past that. this would effect my trait line choice for power/ cond duration if the bleed duration is ALREADY capped out factoring in everything including food.

Thanks for the help

Cap on + duration skills is 100%, excluding the 30 point trait for increased sceptor skilll durations which will stack on top of the 100% duration max.

I don’t think two sigils of agony will increase duration by 20%, but quite frankly I have not tested that, so don’t take my word on it. To me that is is crazy talk with the better options for sigils on weapons like Earth/Blood/Corruption/Geo.

For runes it really depends on the build. Undead runes get you the highest condition damage, but lack duration. If you feel that your bleed and other durations are long enough without runes, then go with Undead.

There are plenty of posts on here if you dig a few pages back (or even less) on condition build suggestions, both fear and not fear based.

I have NOT min/maxed the condition aspects as much as concentrate on the attrition (survivability AND constant pressure and a lot of fun to play).

I run 6/6 Undead runes. I also have traited for 20% reductions in wells cd’s, staff skills cd’s and corruption skills cd’s (effectively a 20% increase in their damage/effects as they are available 20% more plus epidemic is available every 12 secs with BiP every 24…a good synergy). On the jewelery I use Crest of the Rabid. Gear is mainly Carrion stuff. Unbuffed I have 27K health, 2700armour, 1600 toughness, 1100 cond damage, 2600 attack and in/out of DS a lot.

Like I said not the max but a great support build and a lot of fun to play…not much time for auto attack.

looking at this right now

40% or 36% food (i am chef)
25% trait line
10% nightmare rune set = 75% or 71% condition

20% bleed trait
10% bleed sigil / and bleed proc sigil = 105% or 101% (100% cap) bleed
then sceptor trait on top that

Good point Pirhana…
Pizza and
QualityTuning Crystals. (Gain condition damage = 5% toughness AND gain condition damage = 3% vitality) and these are really cheap too.

Rabid stats can be purchased through Karma vendors in orr, including jewelry now, for 42000 karma each.

Each rapid stat also exists on the TP in a random drop form, but they are very expensive. Look for Khibron, Collosus Fang, and I can’t remember the others.

Also you can get them in dungeons. I suggest TA, its my personal favorite and the armor looks pretty cool.

For the last couple days I have been acquiring gear for a condition build following suggestions from a regular forum poster – Lopez ( http://lopezirl.com )

The Rabid trinkets at the Dwayna temple fit nicely with the Rabid armor. But there are only 4 pieces of rabid armor at the Temples. You have to get the chest and boots elsewhere. Khibron chest and boots cost 21g and 13g respectively on TP so maybe the dungeon versions are easier for you.

I made the Mystic scepter in the MF today. Still struggling with paying 7g each for a dagger and staff. (I am a miser I guess).

The Nightmare (and Lich as well) rune set will give you +20% duration, not 10%, despite the description.

What about Rampager’s instead of Rabid? It’s much easier to get, and seems to offer similar stats if you don’t mind being squishier. Is it actually a damage increase? Or is it just squishier?

Rampager works fine if you want to run a hybrid style build. If you are going full out conditions, the power isn’t all that useful, and you would prefer condition damage over precision. I think in the world of full damage rotations, it is going to be a very slight damage increase from the harder auto attack and skill hits because of the power, and higher crit rate. Your conditions will hit less hard though, and losing the thoughness is not idea for pvp.

In my opinion if you are going rabid, you should go all the way. If you are going rampager, you should go all the way, and trait for hybrid. It is definately true that full rampager, hybrid build with points in spite is very nice damage in dungeons. The problem being in wvw and pvp, where you are basically a zerker scholar class, with little to no burst damage, which is the entire reason to build zerker. But yeah, in PVE rampagers is great.

It isn’t going to kill your damage or make a huge difference if you stat in carrion on rampager in your jewels, you will just be trading a little bit of survival for a little more skill inital damage. Also, TA in my opinion isn’t bad to run at all, and it is easy to get boots from their. The chest is a pain, lots of tokens.
