Hi there! I’m quite new to the necromancer and so far it has been quite lovely! My necro is lvl 44 and i’ve done ac and cm story mode quite a few times without any big problems.
I’m using a condition build (now 0/10/0/20/0…going to be 0/30/10/30/0) mainly using scepter/dagger and staff on offhand. Here comes my first question: what if i used dagger/focus instead of staff?Wouldn’t that be better for close combat+ survivability?
Second question: is there any viable dual dagger build out there for pve?
Third an most important question: as a condition necro, my damage comes from bleeding right? That works fine on aoe situation where i can easily spread my bleads with epidemic. On single target though, the 25 stack bleed is pretty easy to be attained by a 5-man party. Is there any reason for me being there and bleeding any further the boss? What can i do in order to be able to do some damage even with 25 stacks of bleeding on the target? Maybe use axe or dagger on main hand? Let me know what you think

Your questions all have essentially one answer: change to a power/crit build.

Both axe and dagger scale off of power. If you try to use axe or dagger with low power they will suck.

The 25 stack limit is indeed a big problem with group single-targets (bosses, etc.).

By switching to a Power/crit build, your dagger and axe will hit hard, and since you primarily are using direct damage, the stack limits don’t affect you. In addition, your DS Life Blast will hit hard, and you also be able to destroy structures much, much more quickly than a condi build.

It is the sad reality of GW2’s PVE mechanics.

Stealth nerfs are the perfect fertilizer for mistrust.
