Hiya,

I was toying around with some Necro builds and noticed there were a lot of traits with a heal/support feel to them. I’m only a low level necro and came up with something which looks fun but am left wondering if it’s actually viable in anyway for dungeons for example.

Link to the build (copy & paste it):

Basic idea is to use staff marks and focus #4 & #5 to help my team out with regen and condition clearing and what not from a range. Pop #7 to get into melee quick when people are taking huge chunks of damage to pop my wells for healing and regeneration from Well of Blood and protection from all Wells + condition clearing. Pop Axe #3 as well for retaliation. If people are doing okay by then, teleport back with 7 and go back to staff and marks spam. If not then pop death shroud which adds weakness (and bleeding) to enemies, limiting their damage even further. Then pop life transfer for aoe healing and leave death shroud for more healing. By that time Im hoping well of blood will be up again and I have to retreat to safety.

That’s the way I play it out in my head but I have no clue if the death shroud healing is worth traiting into for instance. Open for any suggestions or changes as well, but Im not looking for your standard power well build or anything as Ive seen those. I was really wondering if the support role goes well with this kind of build.

Also gearwise, i’d have no clue what to gear. Precision/Toughness/Healing Power? Power/toughness/healing power maybe?

Thanks

In PVE, I always make sure I have traited for Transfusion. The heal from it is amazing. It just sucks that it doesn’t heal yourself. I’ve wondered how often other people trait it because most of the builds I see do not have it.

I think Deathly Invigoration is also worthwhile, but you must be sure to use death shroud at every possible chance to make the most use of it. I have had trouble getting the focus skill to work reliably, but you may want to try for yourself because I didn’t stick with it very long.

You can have Life Transfer heal yourself, if you time it so DS runs out right after it starts.

I actually first started playing with Transfusion when I was dabbling with minions: it was a way I found to top them up during a fight, in addition to mark of blood.

Something interesting about Transfusion / Deathly Invigoration is that Transfusion doesn’t scale with healing power, but Deathly Invigoration does. It actually becomes a pretty nice group heal if you double-tap death shroud every 10 seconds. (You can use Near to Death to really abuse it, but I don’t know where I’d pull 20 points from your build.)

Mixing insults with your post is like pooping in a salad.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Cool to see this topic now, as I just did a healing build!
My build is more for guild WWW but could work with some tweaks for dungeon play aswell, the lack of dmg output in my build makes it not to good in anything other then guild PvP.

My build

Break down.
The major part of this build is to dubbel tap DS every 5th sec. to aply healing and vulnerbility.
Then its a choice depending on the situation, since you are always running in melee range with this build one option is to just keep staff 2 up for an awsome regen, and with the AOE heal from DS dubbeltap you migrate most dmg done.
Or you can swap to the dagger/X to try and do some power based dmg, thou staff 2s regain is more important and you have loner regeneration on it then cooldown even untraited.

Well of suffering is taken to give deathblossom thiefs another heal aswell as to do some indirect dmg with the extra vurnibility pulses, this char do dmg by boosting the guildmembers dmg.

Spectrall wall is the same, to boost the start burst dmg and let other normal conditionmancers spread the carnage with epedemic, and to give another awsome combo field in etheral, leaping thiefs with chaos armour is good kitten!

The radiation field is to aply another source of healing by migrating dmged done.

The monk runes makes it so when I jump into plauge, i dont have to just spam blind as normal but can acctually aply more weakness and or bleeds instead, since all my guildes now have aegis.

And I choose to take greater marks just to have an unblockable AoE fear for if you meet an organized zerg who buffs aegis on the charge I can break that charge with the normal staff fear, unblockable and HUGE aoe range.

Again my build is not to good for dungeon play, I would skip the SoulReaping trait line completly to investe more into an healer hybrid, going power or cond.dmg instead.

But its cool to see that more players are looking into the suport roll, it makes www so much more fun.
