How's the Necro doing?
There’s one particular build variant that is causing a lot of caterwauling from those on the receiving end of it, and most the other builds range from “acceptable with your team babysitting you” to “why bother, another class does it better”.
That’s a shame. I recall Minion Master waiting for some buffs, and I was really hoping for a life-drain build to take off after some patching.
Lots of stuff fixed up. Lots not fixed. Bit new broken.
Haven’t checked, but last I saw, Poison doesn’t stop heals.
Putrid Mark, no longer transfer condition from Allie, only removes ‘some’ from you.

There was a recent big balance patch. Couple of Wells got faster CDs, one got a brake stun. The ‘big’ bit we got a new condition, was suppose to be necro only. Something speashal to stop other class’s escaping from us. Ele & Thief also go it, and Thiefs can apply it more of course. It’s basically a bleed that ticks twice as fast if your run.
We did get burning condition. Top of the Power trait line. This made glass cannon, hybrid spec necro’s very heavy condi damage. So they nurfed half it’s duration in PvP for necro’s. Also Fear & Terror.
Minions have had a ‘few’ patch’s. They now attack 1st attack, not 2nd or so… They don’t go psycho and pull heaps anymore.
Elite still scared of water. They all die to a splash damage in anywhere serous like a dungeon/world event. (AoE 1shot in PvP)
They changed DS so damage it takes overflows into your actual life. (Yes you can be 1shot thru death shroud & your life now.)
They did finally fix that 1/3rd downed life of any other class.
Oh you can’t swap weapons in DS now. (Yes it still dose different damage on weapon you use, so swap before you go in. They know it’s a bug, but they said it’s staying)
They did fix getting interrupted on transform, putting skill on full CD. Tho, leaving a transform is now 1sec+lag before you get your bar’s back. (So pre-plan your heal 2.25th sec+lag before you need it)
The spec’s are:
30/30/x hybrid glass cannon, condition affliction warloc type thing. (PvP)
30/x/30 Power DeathShroud spec. (PvE as conditions still suck in PvE)
Another good spec is actually full minions. 20/0/30/20/0 has seen me through tons of stuff.
We’re not as kittenome people make out. Not as good either. depending on how you play, we’re high up, but by no means unbeatable in any respect.

This forum is full of complaining. Necro’s damage and sustain has been boosted a lot and it’s in a very good place for PvE, WvW and sPvP. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
Minion AI has been improved as well, and all minions now regenerate health outside of combat.
Oh yeh, forgot to add,
Minions do heal out of combat now. (Excluding #6 heal minion)
Vamp scales with healing power!!! (It’s only +6 heals per hit, if all your gear has healing power, and not minions vamp the only one that’s sort of useful)
Were not so bad anymore were a hindrance. But don’t expect to be in a speed dungeon clear. Also, will be asked to sit out a few dungeon boss fights in non-farming groups due to lack of vigor/block/etc now DS won’t suck up that extra un-avoidable hit. For PvP you will want a teams help.
Necros are doing well enough that we’ve received some nerfs lately (Dhuumfire, Putrid Mark, damage while in DS now overflowing to health).
Dungeon mechanics are the main issue. They affect necro, but its really an issue with poor mechanics.
