It definitely is odd to say the least that abilities that currently exist in the game have not already been fixed. It’s not like they need to rebalance anything. Just make them work like they should.
Also, I am in awe at the lack of a response on the Ranger SB issue. It has been proven with video evidence that the SB was nerfed and the attack speed reduced much more than ANet claimed. The worst part is that it was supposed to be an animation fix? If they overdid it by mistake how much programming does it really take to increase the speed to the intended value? If they were gonna nerf it at least come out and say it. I don’t play Ranger but that kind if practice really rubbed me the wrong way.
I love the Necro concept but in actuality the class is a mess and they are not the only ones. There are so many classes that render others obsolete. We’ll see what happens in the next few days… I would have much preferred to have 100% working classes than some Halloween cash-grab..

They have a dedicated sub-team making the content patches, not the same team they use to fix bugs, so the ‘halloween cash-grab’ (or actual event from Guild Wars 1 carrying on a yearly tradition) as you so crudely put it, should have no bearing on whether there are bug fixes included for classes.

I highly doubt dungeons will get to that point. The amount of healing that occurs is negligible based on the amount of damage pouring out from your team. Necromancers if played correctly are an awesome addition to any dungeon team. We are the blindingest class of them all, and with so many encounters with range spamming npc’s our plague form and dark wells can shut down encounters. Condition management is our specialty and i’ve prevented several deaths by curing team mates with a well placed well. We’ve got bugs, but that doesn’t mean they will kill the class. There are lots of necro mains out there which are content with their characters and with waiting for well-coded fixes.
Actually, I have the opposite feeling. I’m betting Anet does a complete retuning of the necro profession. There are so many bugs & & trait inconsistencies & tuning issues that they’re going to have to bring out a massive patch just for this profession. I have faith that it’ll happen. We just have to endure until then…And when we get it ooohh..boy, look out. We’re gonna own Tyria.

We have to remember that the game has been out for what, two months now? There are a TON of bugs, and they are prioritizing the game breaking bugs first, along with the seemingly infinite “get out of the map” bugs.
Not to mention all the bugs with other classes. From what I’ve seen necro has the most bugs out of any profession, so they are most likely saving it for last, until they get the easier to fix bugs out of the way.
These things do take time. That said, it HAS been a while since the last bug fix patch, for anything. I really think the halloween event has taken priority over bug fixes. I don’t mind, as long as something happens soon
The problem is communication. All we are left with is the ability to speculate. It’s disheartening.
I can’t care less about dungeons, but in WvW Necro is kinda awesome. Conditions, marks, wells, plague… If you look around – we’re the only anti-zerg class in the game.
The thing is, Necro is probably the most difficult class in the game as well. We can’t just spam one or two skills and expect to get a kill, but with right build we can make life of huge zerg miserable.
