Looking at Marks - Activation time?

No, you got a hand swing animation if you wanna dodge the mark that much and marks are the weakest two handed skills by damage components.
Andele is right, the hand gesture is a clear give away.

Lately there’s so much weird stuff coming from that subforum, of course mostly from people who don’t even play necro.
They are not the same thing, grenades are projectiles, marks are placed strategically to provide area denial so an instant activation time would ruin the entire mechanic. Alternatively if they activated 1 second after being touched then someone could just walk over and off them to destroy them, staff would be useless in both scenarios.
Now compare the cooldowns of Marks vs Grenades in regards to wasting them:
Marks – 6/20/25/40
Grenades – 5/10/20/25
Seems like sPvP players have some kind of markfobia. Marks are probably only thing in this game which i don’t even bother to dodge because i know that they don’t do kitten.

I’d say 4 & 5 are very strong and if dodged are fairly crippling to the necro. The other two are just meh…
So a necro AoE mechanic which has been in the game since release and was a non-issue is now suddenly a problem?
I guess the whiner’s will wait until next week to cry about how AoE wells are OP because they are…AoE.
4 is no longer strong at all. Its a decent hit, and 3 conditions transferred off you. No longer full cleanse off you and allies in the area.
