Now matter how badly you want flesh wurm to be a reliable teleport skill, that’s not what it’s for. Being a turret minion comes first.

It would be an amazing teleport skill in PvP if we just had some way of knowing its being attacked besides its death. Place it on far, go help out at mid, when it starts attacking pop it cover far point.
You can even “direct” the minions with empty dagger swings as long as you have an enemy targeted within ~1200 range. Could be fun to use that to troll in PvP and having a good laugh when they frantically try to locate the Necro that commands that Zoo… ‘Well or they cast one AE skill and most of the minions are dead. Although, Death Nova + exploding the Bone Minions might take the enemy low enough to be easily finished…if they aren’t blocking evading or invuln, that is…

Flesh when is a great minion because it serves as a disengage tool on any build, as disengage is the biggest weakness with necro. That’s why you have to find spots that let the warm contribute to the fight, while still giving you a gtfo button to escape when you get +1 or +2ed at a node.

As much as I don’t like minions in other games, I really like them and want them to work so badly here and this fix is wonderful! I totally agree Spirit Weapons need the same love though. If all minions (and pets) got a nice update I’d be a super duper happy camper.

There are a few threads here talking about the AI fix but the title and op for this one really matches my jubilation for this.
For three years I’ve struggled against the issues minion AI has been plagued with, and today it’s all better. No more waiting for minions to catch up with you so you have a better chance of getting them to aggro your target, no more opening with specific abilities and cursing under your breath every time you accidentally open with the wrong kind. No, now they just work, no fuss, no tricks, they just work.
We’re back, it’s been far too long, but Minion Masters are a real serious thing again.

Its propably still that way, i just never bothered to try because i assumed staff range to be the max range for minions aswell.
Directing the minions with dagger swings was something you could always do. It’s what I always did to direct them before reaching my enemy in PvE areas.

Nope! It was disabled for at least a few months way back, though yes it is an intended function.

Not to mention minions loved to ignore that even before it got removed/bugged.

I swear it worked for me last week or so while I was doing my first world complete, with my necromancer. I remember it specifically happening in Brisban. They would go ahead of me and kill stuff before I reached it. I suppose I never did notice when they disabled it months ago before un-disabling it again. But I’m glad to hear that not only was it brought back, but that now, it is more consistent.

DEVS: Thanks for fixing this, MMs are now fun again. Once we get Reaper for real…i’ll be giddy as a school-girl…a furry(Necro is a Charr), nightmarish, undead controlling, school-girl…yep…that will be me
