After your post I stood back and reassessed how i was approaching my necromancer in spvp and such. I derived a little build i thought might work out and it really is strong. I can literally destory groups of people while tanking all of their blows with DS while assisting my allies at the same time. I believe once all those bugs are fixed we’ll have no issues what so ever.
Care to share your build? I also tried to emphasize more on DS mechanic in sPVP but I didn’t have much time to test it though. I played a few games in which I was either pummeled, or did ok, but perhaps it’s a matter of training. What I would like to see is getting at least some amount of life force at the start.

If this is from doing sPvP and not tPvP, I don’t think we’re seeing the whole picture yet. Not trying to put doubt on your personal skills but there’s a difference between the two formats and some builds get filtered out in different settings.
I do love it when people post something and dont have something to back up their claims.

If your build is built around DS then you’ve missed the issue. Not everyone wants to play their necro that way. If it was meant to be so then why have other trait skills?? I would rather beef spectral armor than DS. I would rather beef staff than Life Blast. See my point?

I can roll a level 1 class of anything, do sPvP till im against a group full of kitten and endup doing well.
Now then, OP let’s talk nitty gritty, you want people to acknowledge your claims, post your build, and let people look at it.
We should now pause the hole “underpowerd” discussion…
refering to Jon Peters the bugs (sticky post) are going to be fixed (maybe soon) and until this happend and we where able to try out the FIXED NECRO, we should stop
talking about balancing issues.

I use something similar but i use spectral walk instead of epidemic. Spectral walk is pretty much an out of jail card in pubs.
It pubstomp hard, you just need to learn to spam ds (seriously necro never use it, or just once, that imo explain alot) and use it wisely for the fear, and if a team fight occurs or you get ganked (gank can generally be avoided by using spectral walk), use plage and spam 2.
The hard part is to look at enemy boons to transform them into conditions and when to use plague signet (can be used for the stunbreaker in last resort).
The heal is the most powerfull heal of the game hands down, remove all condition and half the time give back 10k+ out of 23k+…
Seriously i stomp at least 3 time harder with this build than with my thief, and i actually feel i’m doing some teamwork.
So, out of the tens of thousands of Necromancers out there you are the only one who has figured out this “magical” build? Yet, you come in here with generalities and platitudes and offer no constructive help to the community?

On a side note, anyone seen the patch notes for today? Almost every class is getting bug fixes and updated UI gifts but, can you guess?

I don’t get it. I thought you might have something like this in mind, which is built around pulsing DS every 5 or so seconds for constant Fury, AoE healing and conditions, frequent fear and CC breaks rotating with regular dagger siphons, axe “burst” and retaliation:
I tried a ‘spam DS’ build and I didn’t like it. Maybe I didn’t do things right, but here’s the problem:
- Healing when leaving DS without any +healing power gives around 300 hp at level 80 which is pretty paltry.
- You get delayed by 1-2 seconds from actually doing anything which if you are equates to ~1,250 damage depending on build
- The trait for “Enfeebling blood on entering DS” has around a 15 second CD which it doesn’t say in tool tips. I still like the trait but it doesn’t mesh well with the ‘spam DS’ build.
- Ironically, there’s nothing really interesting the Death Shroud row for this build so you take your 30 points to spam DS but then have to take other things that don’t really jive with it.

Healing Signet, Withdraw and Mirror are angry that you gave their title to Consume.
When life gives you lemon, ask if its from a anime or manga.

the only thing similar about this and the conditionmancer is the fact i use 2 of the same utility skills. Shocking!

I’m not saying this is the ultimate build that will destroy everyone you meet. Like every build there are class/trait combos that can deal with you but in group play the amount of survability i have coupled with the damage and control i have over people is really nice.
I can see where you are going with your build, but I cannot see the benefit of your build.
Life Force pool is based on a % of vitality, afaik. Then, if you spec into vitality, you will die too quickly without any toughness. Then, if you spec into toughness and condition damage, your Life Force pool will not be very large.
Your build also only utilizes un-improved marks. A few point swaps out of Soul Reaping could give you a higher radius on your marks…
Perhaps I’m still ironing out some of the kinks in my build but I can’t complain with the results as of yet. Still too many utilities and traits to try out. I would much rather this forum be discussing different ideas of how to build necro rather than all this OMG WE SO BAD.
No offense Zelthios, I’m still new to the game and to the class, so at this point I try to absorb everything and try out my own ideas based on what I’ve seen, but the build you listed and the screenshot you posted don’t actually match up.
The screenshot has you scepter/dagger with consume/epidemic/corrupt boon/plague signet and plague form, while your linked build is dagger/focus (and staff) with well of blood/well of suffering/epidemic/corrupt boon and flesh golem.
