Guild Wars 2

I have been leveling a necro and I have finally found another character I love as much as my mesmer. I have really enjoyed scepter / focus.

What do you feel are the best stats to combine with this weapon set. I believe this will be a condition heavy build but I am not sure if power would also be a big benefit.

I am thinking that staff will be the secondary weapon set but again would be curious if anyone runs this as their primary weapon set and what builds they have designed around scepter / focus.

The vulnerability from focus 4 does not improve your condition damage, so going a mix of condition damage and power would work best with that weapon set.

Do you use staff as your secondary weapon? Or axe /dagger or some other weapon.

I would go with a either an axe or dagger for secondary. Axe 1 adds more vulnerability stacks, although it does lackluster damage. Axe 2 is a nice burst skill, and axe 3 deals decent damage and gives retaliation which is always nice.

The dagger 1 does more straight up damage that any other weapon. Dagger 2 and 3 can combine to increase survivability.

I use scepter/dagger & scepter/focus. Focus4 is great for life force refilling, regeneration and vulnerability. The latter goes very well with death shroud Life Blast, as long as you have decent Power.

I use 20/30/0/10/10 or 20/30/020/0, with Rabid gear with Crests of the Rabid, mostly Rampager trinkets with Emerald orbs, and Rampager/Carrion mix of weapons. This gives me a nice mix of condition dmg and direct dmg, with about 50% crit chance.
