About Spectral Walk

(NB0041) Cooldown timer is off by a second.

There is another problem i’ve been lookin at: when You cast it, it applies 3 vulnerability for 3 seconds, during that time the speed buff doesn’t work. I think it’s because the game consider that you are “in combat” cause of the vulnerability condition.
I’m still investigating it.

I have not found that Spectral walk puts me into combat when used just as a speed buff out of combat.

Same with Locust Swarm and the underwater one. Necros get the worst speed buffs, use them out of combat to run faster only to be put into combat to run slower.

First, a thank you for keeping this list up-to-date. (From a elementalist & necro player.)

In this regard, a note on (NB0091). I had the same thing happen to my elementalist last night, this time in regard to “dual actions activating in regard to the F key.” In my case, I was attempting to Revive a groupmate (by using F) and, at the same time, switching elements (via mouse click) to deal with an enemy that was incoming.

This bug is most probably not in the necro class itself, but instead is somewhere in either the A: Revive code OR B: Class abilities.

  • (NT0011) Grasping Dead tooltip is wrong, it stacks 3 bleeds instead of 1 bleed.

They must have known, I’ve reported at least half of these bugs since BWE1. Some multiple times.

this this this. most all of this bugs are well know since BW1, arenanet know they exist long time ago otherwise is saying they dont care about report from BW/stress stest and feedback left here on oficial forum when open for those tests.

they reply like: " thanks for you show all this bugs…we didnt know they exist…". seriously, you really didnt know? because lot of us are enough of describe the same bugs over and over again, its frustating serious.

BTW i can confirm, grasping dead give 3 bleeds intead of just one as describe ( hope the description is change not the stack of bleed….but probably we will get the nerf as always).

plague signet i can confirm too that many times dont work as break stun, when you are knockdown and use plague signet sometimes work sometimes not.

OP please check this two bugs and confirm, the grasping dead is easy to test on a golem the break stun of plague signet best is go to sPvP and be knockdown many times as possible and use plague signet with the CD trait reduction and you will see sometimes dont do nothing against knockdowns.

game is amazing, but all this bugs of necros on tournaments are really anoying, please fix thm soon as possible and dont give us more nerfs

Many times the golem does sod all in fights if you start the fight with DS. Try hitting button 1 while just out of range of a mob and running toward it so your in range by the time the cast bar is 100%. Your attack hits, now the mob is attacking you and the golem is just standing there looking pretty. You come out of DS the golem is still doing nothing for the whole fight, you may be lucky while moving around the gloem may decide to attack.

Golems charge some minor mountain/step (not needing a jump) will cause the Golem to stop the charge not getting to the enemy.

Golems charge also fails when. you notice you have just gotten into range (your not seeing a red line under the charge ability thus this means you are in range for the attack) .. Click.. GLoem stops 1ft away the attack does not connect.

DS, we have number 2 attack (we “TP” to target causing chill) sometimes as like mentioned above something minor in terrain NOT a tree or bush nothing that needs to be jumped over will cause this attack to not connect.

NOTHING! boosts up the health steal on hit or on crit it does not scale with healing gear.

DS talents from our talent lines do not work under water, piercing hit does no weaken effect.

I am sick of being pushed into water and having my golem de-summon + cooldown!

Staff does not use vampiric unlike the dagger and scepter in main hand

Vampiric traits do not scale with healing or anything.

where is my 5% of power to healing? this does no effect what so ever! nor can you see this in your hero section listing armor/hp/tough etc etc .. healing is not effected (unless im blind).

unfortunately the rest of my complaints are not bugs just useless pitiful traits the necro has in comparison with other class’s. Necro’s should have the traits revised and re built imo

If you activate the “summon blood fiend” skill while in the middle of summoning another minion, it will cancel the first minion skill and summon the blood fiend instead. It treats the cancel as an interrupt and puts the first skill on cooldown.

Yep they totally changed how Spectral Walk work.
Just another thing i noticed, while downed the fear ability work once every ten time i use it… dunno if it’s cause to some thing specific, the only thing i noticed is that often i cast it and the enemy don’t flee…

New bug found- Consume Conditions not affected by healing power
Another instance healed for 5610. Condition healing tooltip not working right?- Is healing power inserted in to this calculation?
New bug- Chill of death says Casts spinal shivers- Does no Damage But only Chills enemy? Intentions? or a bug. And if supposedly casts spinal shivers Does it still remove 3 boons (not sure still doing testing just keeping up the reports)

I posted this nearly a month ago in the game bugs forum and it got merged with a different issue with the same trait then buried and since I haven’t seen it listed here I thought to post it here to try to get some feedback or perhaps get it added to the list.

Mark of Evasion

The description says –
“Leave a Mark of Blood when you dodge.”

What it actually does –
“Create a Mark of Blood after you dodge.”

The difference –
To leave a mark when dodge implies that the mark is left where I once stood. This would be good as that’s usually where the monster is.

Instead it is creating a mark at the location I end my dodge roll at. This is not good because if I dodged correctly there is no monster here. Also as a Necromancer I usually have several minions out to help me fight they have a habit of keeping a mobs attention. So if it makes its way to me and I dodge away in order for the mark to do any good the mob has to follow me to my new location quickly. Which is not usually likely to happen thanks to my minions.

Under the Elite section your missing, the problems with Lich and Plague form de-summoning your minions. This is a very large problem as it means if we use minions we only have a single elite, and if we want to use minions underwater we are hosed.

As this bugs are related to a common factor, “Necromancer transforming into another creature”, i mixed all them together, and added them on the “Minions” sub-section.

This way the developer do not have to collect similar reports, if they fix the new mixed bug report. Moa, Lich and Plague form problems will get fixed.

From what I can tell Greater Marks with Chillblains still doesn’t work right. I can cast between two mobs and hit them with Putrid or Mark of Blood , but Chillblains will cast in the same spot in the middle of them and hit neither.

Bug – Spectral walk is now correctly affected by spectral traits. However, it does not work as a stun break, despite what the tooltip says.
Bug or tooltip? – Axe training does not seem to affect the tooltip damage of axe abilities.
Mark of Revival trait – bug – does not seem to create a mark when reviving.

Is this a bug : When using life siphon (dagger 2 skill) in main hand and hitting the 0 so your golem charges it breaks the siphon… bug or not bug? Imo as the necro is not casting a spell/action it should not break the siphon ..

This seems to be a general hit-box issue rather than being Necro-specific. I get the same problem with paired weapons of any kind on my warrior (though 2-handed melee attacks seem to be a little more forgiving for some reason). Was kind of surprised to catch scepters having the same issue, hadn’t run into it with a ranged attack yet.

Oddly, I find that staying in motion while on-target seems to help, even if you’re just alternately strafe-stepping left and right repeatedly. It’s especially common with large objects; I wonder if the game engine isn’t getting a little confused as to when they count as targets versus when they count as cover.

The problem is that it seems some destructible objects have a point rather than a box for a hitbox. 2h weapons are more forgiving because you don’t need to be so close to hit – if this problem occurs, you have to stand more or less inside the object to hit it.

Necromancers (and rangers, if, for some inexplicable reason, they use only their pet and don’t shoot the object) run into the problem where the minion/pet ai isn’t smart enough to stand right against the object to hit the hitbox which is smaller than it should be for hitting purposes, but normally sized for purposes of targeting and combat distances.

is it me or has the internal CD for mark of evasion changed. (an increase of a couple of seconds).

I used to time it as the time it took to regen 50% of your endurance. Then after the latest patch I noticed I wasn’t dropping mark or triggering combo fields anymore. Then I noticed if I waiting just a couple more seconds it would work.

Not really a bug per se. but a bit odd.

is it me or has the internal CD for mark of evasion changed.

Hidden CD must be 10 seconds.
Cast a random skill, check the count down, when it reaches 20 sec use evasion.
Keep looking at the countdown, when it reaches 10 sec, dodge again.

This way you will test if it is 10 seconds or more.
Im gonna do the same and later we can compare results and confirm or negate.

Scepter autoattack tooltip bug: the autoattack (slot #1) bleed duration is 6 s on the target, but tooltip says 4 and 3/4 s. Bleed duration is correctly increased to 9 s with Lingering Curse trait, but the tooltip does not update that info (neither duration nor total damage).

Combat log does not show damage from bleeding.

Not sure if this has been reported yet, but Spectral Wall and Putrid Mark do not seem to be working together.
I tested this multiple times. I would lay down a Spectral Wall on top of an enemy and immediately after lay down a Putrid Mark directly on top of the enemy and the Spectral Wall. The mark would activate, but the blast finisher would not grant me or my minions the Chaos armor bonus.

Further more, when I explode my bone minion inside the walls boundaries, the blast finisher is activated and me and my minions are granted chaos armor. So this could possibly just be a problem with Putrid Mark and Spectral Wall not jiving together?

- Tested, works the same way in and out of combat. Negative results.

• When using life siphon (dagger 2 skill) in main hand and hitting the 0 so your golem charges it breaks the siphon
- Tested, If you use any skill while channeling, channeling will be interrupted. The same as summoning. Works as intended.

• (NB0059)[Fix – Unconfirmed] Does not give 3% lifeforce from Soul Marks when triggered.
• (NB0054)[Fix – Unconfirmed] Reapers Protection gives 20+ seconds of AoE fear when it hits another necro with reapers protection.
• Spectral walk is now correctly affected by spectral traits. However, it does not work as a stun break, despite what the tooltip says.
• Mark of Revival trait does not seem to create a mark when reviving.
• Axe training does not seem to affect the tooltip damage of axe abilities.
• Spectral Walk doesn’t break stuns properly. Just got launched in sPvP only to notice that SW didn’t break me out of the following knockdown.

- Scepter autoattack tooltip bug. (Already reported, read (NT0009) )

- Spectral Wall and Putrid Mark do not seem to be working together. (Already reported, they work together with 1-3 seconds delay for bonuses, i have to update the thread tought, not your fault)

Regarding Minion Abilities

- They shouldn’t interrupt your actions (e.g reviving someone)

Flesh Golem “Rush” bug
- When out of a target, the rush is supposed to be faced to the Golem’s facing direction. Tested it at WvW today and the Golem (which was autochasing an enemy in a battle) turned around to used it.

all of the minion abilities (outside of putrid explosion and flesh wurm teleport) have cast times, so I believe that’s why they interrupt.

NB0001, NB0003 and NB0004 are “working” much worser as listed here!

All of the abilities (Regeneration, Swarm, Ice block and even NOT listed Last Gap’s Spectral armor) take effekt immediately after entering DS while in combat state and under attack (no matter how high your Life Force at the moment is).

In Other words: Every time (e.g. all 90 seconds becouse of Cooldown of Rune of Svanir) you enter DS in combat state (and under attack) you will be transformed into an ice block for 5 seconds, without any chance to do anything for those 5 seconds (you cant use any skill or move as an ice block) loosing all you HP-state-independent abilities as well, for nothing…

Did not tested it with NB0002 becouse i dont have the Rune of Vampirism, but i think it will work the same way…

Reproduction: 100% while in combat state, under attack and 95-100% HP and life force

(NB0081) Marks do not trigger on downed enemies or dragons

As a Necro this item here is and has been extremely irritating, it also goes alot further than just downed enemy’s and Dragons, it also includes the following:

- Any/All Stationary targetable targets
– Turrets
– Risin Fish head mobs
– Downed players
– Seige equipment
– targetable equipment racks / supplies in many “Hearts”

Of all the bugs listed this particular one has the greatest visibility as a necro… or at least a Mark build necro.
