- (NB0120) Weapons: Staff: Mark of Blood: does not change your Staff into a scythe.
Focus
- (NB0014) Weapons: Focus: Reapers Touch: Never bounces to minions if no players are in range even though it states that it bounces to “allies”.
- (NB0121) Weapons: Focus: Reapers Touch: The Spite line trait Spiteful Talisman does not effect it.

- (NB0007) Soul reaping: Path of Midnight: Generates a bug in which while in Death Shroud, after casting Dark Path (2nd skill), the cooldown starts at 10, then ticks down to 9, then starts at 12.
- (NB0072) Soul reaping: Gluttony: Does not work at all.
- (NB0104) Soul reaping: Soul Mark: Mark of Revival does no trigger +3% Life force from Soul Mark.
Other bugs__________________________________________________________
- (NB0083) Sound: After viewing a vista, skills such as Locust Swarm won’t play audio for a short while.
- (NB0039) Sound: The trait Spiteful Talisman removes Spinal Shivers pre-cast sound effect.
- (NB0097) Sound: Necrotic Grasp sound sometimes sound too high, the normal sound itself is not very pleasant.
- (NB0108) Sound: Jagged Horror footsteps sound is excessively loud, specially underwater.
- (NB0031) Minions: AI needs to be improved. Them either randomly attack un-targeted enemies, do not attack targeted enemies or ignore destructible structures/items.
- (NB0122) Life stealing: Life Stealing Has the opposite effect on Enemies (Bug report)
- (NB0123) Life stealing: Wells and Life Stealing are healing the enemies (Bug report)
- (NB0081) General: Marks do not trigger on downed players, dragons, Stationary targetable targets (Turrets, Risin Fish head mobs, Downed players, Seige equipment, targetable equipment racks / supplies in many “Hearts”)
- (NB0082) General: Destructible items are obstructed, missed, or really hard to destroy by the Necromancer.
- (NB0091) When ressing a downed ally, if you push your “death shroud” button at the same time than your “action” button (had bound shroud to R and action to the regular F so its easy to slip and push both sometimes) your character will get stuck and cant move, you need to relog or teleport to another point.
You can still use skills.
The same happens when finishing a downed enemy.
Also happens to Elementalists if they revive + change element.

Tooltip Problems________________________________________________
- (NT0001) Spite trait Spiteful Talisman changes the description of “Spinal Shivers” to “Inflicts Chill and Vulnerability on your foe”. However, this is inaccurate, as it stills “Chills your foe and remove three boons”.
- (NT0002) Chill of Death Tooltip does not indicate the internal cooldown of 15 seconds.
- (NT0003) Weakening Shroud Tooltip do not mention the hidden 15 seconds CD.
- (NT0004) Curses trait Barbed Precision Tooltip does not reflect that it only Grants 1 stack of bleeding for 1 second.
- (NT0005) Death Magic trait Greater Marks do not update Marks Tooltips “Radius”.
- (NT0006) Death Magic trait Dark Armor Tooltip does not escalate the amount of toughness given on lower levels. (Ex: its 400 at 80, at level 22 also says 400, but it does not give 400)
- (NT0007) Blood Magic trait Mark of evasion Tooltip does not indicate the hidden CD “This trait can be triggered once every 10 seconds.”
- (NT0008) Blood Magic trait Ritual of Life Tooltip does not mention the 40 sec hidden CD.
- (NT0009) Skills Tooltips do not update bleed/poison/regeneration “Duration/Damage” upgrades from Traits / Sigils / Runes.

- (NT0012) Spectral Wall Tooltip does not update “Duration” when the Curses trait Spectral Attunement is active.
- (NT0013) Locust Swarm Tooltip does not update Swiftness/Cripple “Duration” when the Curses trait Banshee’s Wail is active.
- (NT0014) Blood Magic trait Mark of Evasion should say “Create a Mark of Blood after you dodge.”
- (NT0015) Curses trait Toxic Landing Tooltip does not show the hidden CD.
- (NT0016) Spite trait Axe Training does not update Axe skills Tooltips “Damage”.
- (NT0018) Axe: Feast of Corruption: Tooltip reports that 4% life force is gained for the entire channel, that would be .5% life force per tick of the attack. 8% life force is actually gained, 1% per tick.

Other Problems (not bugs)_______________________________________
- (NP0002) Loot from monsters on group events is not dropped to Necromancers as often as to other players (lack of direct/fast damage output?).
- (NP0003) Bleed stacks limited to 25 on World Events Bosses may be causing an issue where Condition Necromancers only achieve Bronze Medals.
- (NP0004) Finishers Necromancers lack finishers, have none Leap finishers, only one underwater Whirl finisher, and only Staff/Pets Projectile and Blast finishers.
If you use any other kind of weapons, or you simply do not use pets, you have no finishers at all. Neither we have any in DS. - (NP0005) Lich Form auto-attack does not start automatically.
- (NP0006) Jagged Horrors are being exploited by enemies in PVP to rally from downed state. Death magic trait Reanimator should be an option not a forced minor trait until this is fixed.
- (NP0007) Using minions skills should not interrupt the Necromancer normal skills.
- (NP0009) Combat log does not show damage from conditions. “Foe was hit for 2900 damage by your Bleeding” – Calculated every second would be an idea .

Working As Intended
- (NB0035) If you stay at the surface of the water the Flesh Golem will sink, then die. (Instead of instantly die). CD reset to full duration.
- (NB0021) Utility: Plague Signet: only removes the first condition, the others are just copied. (Like Deathly Swarm and Gathering Plague)
- (NB0053) Death Magic: Minion Master: does not reduce the cooldowns of your Minion Skills, just the cooldowns of your summoning minion skill.
- (NB0065) Blood Magic: Vampiric + Vampiric Precision: does not scale with healing, it will not work while in a special form. (Lich, Plague, Moa).
- (NB0061) Blood Magic: Transfusion: does not scale with healing.
- (NB0124) Blood Magic: Fetid Consumption: When drawing conditions off of you, minions simply make the condition disappear.
- (NB0073) Minions: will die if the player transforms into another creature (Lich Form, Plague, mesmers Moa).
- (NB0076) Minions: Underwater: will die and have their cooldowns reset to full duration if the player doesn’t have the minions on their underwater bar and on their land bar in the same position.
- (NB0077) Condition Damage: is not increased by extra damage traits nor vulnerability.
- (NB0088) General: When using a casting skill if the target goes out of range and the skill misses, you get the full CD instead of a cancelled cast CD of 2-3 sec.
- (NP0001) General: Can not start channeled skills mid jump, though you can start them before you jump and them will not cancel.
- (NP0008) General: You cannot be healed while in DS.

they must fix the sound effects of staff. The first skill should is horrible and sometimes it bugs and sounds too high
Possible issue with loot via condition damage I’ve done some pretty intense testing on it and currently I have to say the system does not work at all for us, infact I’m getting nearly 70% less loot when in groups doing events then on my Warrior.
@iniquix that is a common problem, and getting bronze medals after 10 minuts of condition spamming on World Bosses too.

It’s a joke TBH. Something That Arenanet needs to address ASAP.
Severe spectral bond isnt bugged “You will not return to the casting point, but the act will leave you vulnerable for three seconds.”
@Andele, thanks for reporting. That was actually a typo after copy-paste the previous info. The bug is related to Spectral Wall.
I experienced another bug:
In Lich-Form, you can’t attack objects. There are some boss monsters treated as objects (such as the fire bird in the asura region), the Lich-Form just stands there and does nothing. A huge bug.
@ Serenity I need another player to confirm me this one. It could be a distance to target problem or auto attack not picking the target, ence you have to manually click 1 every time.

I will test this again today. Usually I choose things or monsters to be attacked with “tab” and pressing 1 again and again. There is no sign that I am too far away or anything like that, often Lich-Form just does nothing. maybe someone can test it as well.
Does it count as a bug that the Jagged Horrors usually die from health degen before they can reach an enemy? They only started surviving more than 3 seconds for me when I reached ~lvl 67 I think.
Generally, I’m not too happy with the Minion-centered Minor Traits in Death Magic – a line that is also focused on making the staff more effective. What if I with to use the staff, but no minions? Half of the traits in that line become useless.
Probably isn’t a “bug” per say but more of a first world problem. If you drop a Well of Blood and need to go into Death Shroud because you’re a pinch. You won’t receive the heal over time in the AoE.
You’re also double kitten in PvE event contribution if you spec for more defensive support (+Healing with Wells).
Actually I can manage gold pretty easily in most events – all except that one event chain in Harathi Hinterlands, no matter what I do and how many bosses I assisst in killing. >_>
But then, event rewards need a general overhaul, so that’s no specific necromancer problem. The stacking of conditions or the weak fear compared to other professions on a profession that is meant to specialize in those fields, now that is another matter…
I have no problem hitting almost all objects with death shroud and lich form. I remember 1 or 2 that I couldn’t hit while leveling, but probably 99% of objects I have encountered are working fine.
I’m not entirely sure if this would be categorized as a bug, or if it’s working as intended, but the focus #4 ability, Reaper’s Touch, never bounces to minions if no players are in range even though it states that it bounces to “allies” much like other skills that affect health regeneration on pets.
Along this line:
Lich Form will go on full CD but the effect will not take place if you dodge while casting it.
I have noticed that when i use a signet/epidemic (something with a cast bar), if i start to cast and the target goes out of range, I get the CD but no effect as the target is out of range?
Shouldn’t the spell cancel if the guy is out of range? Especially for WvW, I try to stay at max range, so it’s pretty frustrating to build up a target’s conditions then get all giddy when I’m about to pop epidemic, but instantly sadface when he is out of range and everything is on CD. Is this valid?
Spectral Wall worked for me last night as an ethereal field. I was able to cause Burst Combo and Projectile Combo successfully. I did not check Vulnerability though.
I’m not sure if anyone else experience this bug, but it’s driving me insane. Scepter main attack chain will work normally for a few cycles, but then start “lagging out,” either becoming very slow, or simply just cast the first attack, pause, then repeat it, instead of cycling through the chain of three attacks. It’s very frustrating and cripples our damage output by a lot by not continually put up bleeds and the poison.
I should mention that this is not cause by “skill lag” in a over-populated zones, my other skills work fine, and this occurs even when very few people are in a given zone.
Also, while I haven’t tested Plague Signet in PvP, it seems to be quite fickle in PvE, most of the time not taking conditions off of allies all-together.

This is a phenomenal thread. There are so many moving pieces in this game that this is a great way for you help us track issues. I will sticky this thread and get working on fixes for these right away. It might be a week or so before you see these changes in game. I would encourage other profession forums to do the same thing so that we can iron out all of the kinks in skills & traits so that we can more easily figure out which aspects require balance updates and which are just a matter of bugs.

Also, I don’t know if this is a bug or not, or if other people have experienced it, but I find that when I hit abilities that can be cancelled with the same key (Plague, Death Shroud) too quickly (so a double tap) it will shape shift me in and out instantly and I activate the cooldown without being able to do anything with the spell. Would be great to see a 1 second internal CD or a global CD to prevent it.

Another one:
Mark of Evasion has an internal cooldown which is not noted on the trait.
Minions occasionally not attacking.
Flesh Golem attacking un-targetted mobs, putting you into combat.
I, for one, am quite happy to see a response. Even happier to know that these issues are being looked into. I would like to personally thank you, Jon, despite what appears to be equine odontologists in the thread.
- Can’t start channeled skills mid jump, though you can start it before you jump and it won’t cancel.
- Can use attacks that require a target without having a target, essentially wasting the CD. Very problematic for long cast skills like Shadow Fiend’s blind and Bone Fiend’s immobilize which will go on CD but not even hit the mob before it dies.
Edit: Also, Kelthos they did at one point have an internal CD for DS and it was actually a big problem. Some people just go into DS to activate some skills or take a big hit and being forced to stay in it for any period of time was counter-productive. I’d suggest just not hitting it twice

Banshee’s Wail doesn’t increase the duration of both Swiftness and Locus effects from the slot 5 skill. It does, however, reduce the cooldown.
I also noticed that Feast of Corruption doesn’t properly give Life Force % when you kill an enemy with it. You only gain the amount of life force from killing an enemy.
80 Necro, 80 Ranger, 80 Warrior, 80 Mesmer, 80 Engineer.

Its not hitting it twice, but sometimes it just puts you in and out of DS instantly, so a really short (0.4-0.7 second cd upon transformation) would be really nice and even if it is a you press twice thing, go out of DS should be the 0 key as with all transformations.

No, the Flesh Golem desummons if you go into the water. If you look at the skill it has a water drop with an x over it meaning it can’t go into the water. Try going under water and putting it on your bars.
The FleshGolem IA.(i suspect that with the others is the same).. They attack when you are doing nothing. They do nothing when you are being attacked.
This is very important, because for many, the FG is the only Elite skill that worth(when it works)
- Corrupt Boon often misses or has no effect beyond debuffing yourself
- Plague Signet does not remove conditions from other players (but still gives them to you!)
- Please reverse the scepter nerf :p
Another thing I have noticed is mentioned several times here.
I miss 50-60% of my attacks on breakable objects with Daggers and with Scepter. I stand right next to the object and continuously whiff and miss over and over.
This was exceptionally bad when doing AC Dungeon Explore #3 and trying to destroy the burrows. We couldn’t get it done because I couldn’t hit.

You are wrong. If you stay at the surface of the water the Flesh Golem does, de-summon. But first it sinks to the bottom of that body of water you went into. My wife laughs every time it happens (since she is almost always following me and can see what happens).

Last Gasp also doesn’t break stun; all you get is the damage → life force, not the other 2 parts of spectral armor
I’m not sure why you are all so happy and reassured… Last time I heard that response it followed by scepter nerf. I don’t deal with promises of a better future. I’ll believe it when bugs are actually fixed. When changes are made for the better experience.
Why go conditions for PvE when your main source of damage – bleeds, have a hard 25 cap and…. oh I don’t know… every other class can stack bleeds with warriors/rangers/thiefs doing it even faster then condition necro. And minions are nothing more then wet noodles that don’t even regen… so every second fight they die right away and you are stuck with a lot of cooldowns. Bah forget it… its all listed right at the top.

This seems to be a general hit-box issue rather than being Necro-specific. I get the same problem with paired weapons of any kind on my warrior (though 2-handed melee attacks seem to be a little more forgiving for some reason). Was kind of surprised to catch scepters having the same issue, hadn’t run into it with a ranged attack yet.
Oddly, I find that staying in motion while on-target seems to help, even if you’re just alternately strafe-stepping left and right repeatedly. It’s especially common with large objects; I wonder if the game engine isn’t getting a little confused as to when they count as targets versus when they count as cover.
Something rather obvious:
You can’t see your Endurance Bar or Condition or Boons you have while in Death Shroud.
