Overwritten Chill
Chill doesn’t not overwrite another chill but refreshes it’s duration. So as long your chill if the first one you will always deal damage.
No, Close do Death does not boost condition damage but just direct damage.
But then a 2nd necro chill will not deal damage and it is little bit hard to arrange who applies the first chill
I was hopping they change the “Close to Death” as they change the vulnerability which is now boosting the condi damage also, pity.
For condi, you will also loose 12 stacks of AOE poison on RS4, stun/break on RS5 and crit from Decimate defences. Last one you can pick up from SR instead of useless Dhuumfire.
Talking about crits, do they work with condi damage, or only with direct?
Crits are only for power damage, crits are nice for hybrids but not a direct effect other then increasing bleeding stacks for a condi build.
As I said, 12 stacks of poison (or more if you whirl finisher in a poison field) is nice but it can’t be that relevant to overall DPS while happening in every 25s.
And Dhuumfire with DS1 being ranged it can stack up to 4-5 burning which for 1.5K is also not that bad plus the might you get.
I don’t really know how else to tell you but no. Assuming you’re running viper armor, then there’s no other build that can do more damage than the first one. Dhuumfire is useless on both builds. The damage in a condi build comes from scepter, if you autoing in reaper shroud or death shroud you are losing damage.
Raids are not clean laboratories, that you just sit there and AA with Scepter.
As I said, as a condi class I do green circle duty in VG, while I don’t have a knock back (and if the other people in green circle have it theirs on CD) I eat lots of damage from orbs, a simple switch to DS for kitten can prevent death but if I am in RS I don’t do any damage from range but from DS I can do it and kitten AA from from DS and buring, bleeding, torment from range can easily cover the kitten AA from Scepter.
I’ve run green circle duty and never not been able to keep hitting vale guard. If you’re getting close to dying that has nothing to do with your build, that’s a mechanics and group issue. As for the bleed and torment I assume you mean from deathshroud? You lose bleed stacks for the torment and you can’t just dark path if you’re doing circle duty. I think you underestimate how much your bleed and poison stacks can do over a long period of time. You might see bigger burn numbers briefly but your main stacks will suffer.
It doesn’t overwrite. But it queues the stacks up to the 5 stack cap. If you are applying chill more frequently than your teammates you should rarely notice down time if at all.
