Please fix Blood Bond trait.
+1 really need to fix this
It might also be nice if they made it 10 stacks instead of five. Then your teammates could also get something out of it.

Huuuuuuuuuuuge +1. Blood Bond and Transfusion are my fav parts of Blood Magic. And I really, really like the feel of Blood Bond when it works correctly. I just wish it did more often and for more stacks to help team dps in a “necro flavor” kind of way.
Wow, I didn’t even notice the longer cooldown, it really is 30 seconds… -_-
Also the active part of “Signet of Vampirism” and “Lesser Signet of Vampirism” heal you less than the amount that were list in the Tooltip.
It appears the tooltip adds 24% of healing power to both skills, but it’s actually just 2.75%.

They can because it has a 1s ICD between siphons. It’s really unlikely for one person to take all of the siphons when allies are beating on the target.
It would also be way too strong with 10 stacks. Its just an adept trait, if it had 10 it’d be insane.

I disagree, I’ve gotten all 5 plenty of times before, and average at least 3 unless the person blows a few cds. Also, I’m well aware of the icd.

I’d be ok with a higher cd if it meant my teammates got more use out of it, though your probably right the current iteration would be op. I don’t like that the main power of this trait is the 3 might and 2 boon corrupts, and not the actual trait.

I wish it triggered off every 3 crits instead of being based around bleeds, so power specs can make use of this as well.

You get enough bleeding with a power build so this isn’t the issue.
You can trigger it with mark of evasion + staff 2, or mark of evasion + shroud 2, or staff 2 + shroud 2.
You have mark of evasion by default because it’s a blood minor, and staff is pretty common on power builds.
The problems listed in the OP are pretty accurate. It can fail because of not facing the target which can easily happen when you’re dodging attacks, the numbers are bugged, and it doesn’t work during shroud even though the actual signet does.
You literally can’t not be able to trigger this trait in any build (MoE + Dark Path, plus most builds have either Enfeebling Blood or Mark of Blood, if not even more bleed sources), whereas forcing it to depend on crits would completely gut it for a lot of builds.

2.4%. Got to calculate out the WvW healing bonuses.
Well, with the last “fixed bugged Necro traits”, this should be working fine and dandy, like it’s supposed to, in just under two and a half years now. :/ whoot! Necro ‘buff’ incoming…

I tested the difference with various amulets in HotM, but perhaps I just miscalculated, a skipped comma would be a more elegant explanation.
Post it on Bugs forum.

Make it based on lifesteal procs instead, since the blood traitline gets life steals on any attack by default. 3 life steals = proc.
It’s not as simple for power spec. If I want to get blood bond in pve, I’m going to nerf my DPS by dodging when I don’t need to to proc mark of blood, dark path is not available on reaper.
No PvE power necromancer uses staff, so no mark of blood, and we use offhand focus not offhand dagger, so no enfeebling blood.
You won’t get enfeebling blood from weakening shroud either because the basic reaper build will use Spite/Soul Reaping/Reaper, and only Soul Reaping would be substituted by Blood so we’ll never have a pairing of Curses+Blood as a power based reaper.

For base necro yes but i think i could make a reaper build that cannot trigger blood bond. It would have mark of evasion as the only bleed source and since MoE is a 8 sec 2 stacks of bleeding on a 8 second cooldown it is practically impossible to get 4 stacks of bleeding out of it (without condition/bleed duration increase of course).
So while i agree it shouldnt be a on-crit trait, i think it is fair to question the 4 stacks of bleeding requirement.
I don’t know it’s really strange, we do have a weapon that will work beautifully with Blood Bond… Perhaps the requirement is what it is for a reason?

And that reason is to exclude PvE power based reapers out of the only useful Blood traitline PvE trait? Because Quickening Thirst is useless in PvE given that the dagger’s dps comes from the autoattack and you don’t care about 33% reduction on its two other crappy spells.

If you want the most damage possible you shouldn’t use blood magic anyway.
Blood magic is about offering some additional survivability to your team. Staff compliments that by providing regeneration and weakness.
So if you are so intent on sacrificing any defensive mechanics and range to get every last tiny bit of damage possible, you should not be using blood magic. It makes no sense to argue against staff and still use blood magic.
And furthermore, if that’s your attitude you shouldn’t even be playing necro in the first place tbh. We all know why it’s not meta. It’s because meta is about getting MAX kittenING DAMAGE.

Blood Magic is the only offensive utility traitline you offer to your group….Vampiric Presence, siphons on wells, prot on wells, reduced cd on wells.
There is virtually no reason not to go blood in favor of some selfish traitline that at best gives you a tiny extra bit of dps while being a selfish toon.

It’s like you think 33 damage per hit is a lot or something lol. Other professions aren’t as good at using it either. The necro can do like 25 hits over the first 5 seconds of a fight and get around 800 damage from the trait but can any other profession do that? Even then it’s not impressive as a party damage buff.
Nah dude I’m pretty sure you provide your team with more damage by taking spite/curses/soul reaping and increasing your own damage by a significant percentage.

It’s like you didn’t consider the cd reduction on wells and its protection uptime on 3 wells. You know, the only utility you bring to your group.

Now we’re back to my point. Blood magic is most valuable for sustain and mitigation. And of course I’ve considered that. I run it in my build. But when you come into a thread and seem to be arguing that only going for max damage matters, it seems appropriate to point out that blood magic isn’t meant for max damage builds.
Staff is the same. It gives your team regen and debuffs enemy damage with weakness.
It makes no sense for you to argue against using staff in favor of an extra offhand for your damage rotation but turn around and argue that blood magic is worth it for protection. Especially considering that the extra offhand only makes a difference in long fights and everything is currently bursted in 5-10 seconds by meta comp anyway.
Therefore, it makes no sense to complain about blood bond basically requiring staff because you wouldn’t be using blood bond if you had no use for mitigation or sustain.
The point is blood magic and staff go perfectly together for when you want to bring some sustain and mitigation.

it’s not sustain or mitigation, it’s picking an adept trait that is marginally useful to a power reaper in that traitline…
Before we even argue about usage of the trait, how about someone please fix this trait for us?
