Look for “Strong” prefix rare armor on the TP. There are several 3-stat permutations, including rabid.
As for weapons & jewelry, I’d probably just stick with rare Rampagers/Carrion, since its pretty quick to get from your current level to 80.

Hmm.. OK. I can’t find any Strong Prefix below 80 on the TP with Rabid stats.
OK for 210 TA tokens you can get a level 55 set of rare Rabid armor. To use when leveling your Necro.
Is there any way to get decent Rabid gear to bridge the gap between level 55 and 80 (rare preferably so I don’t have to change my equipment so often). Somewhere around the 65-70 mark.
Also what can you do for jewelery weapons between 55-80, am I stuck with Rampagers or Carrion gear?
No reliable way, I’m afraid. I had to use carrion. In beta you used to be able to craft rabid, but they took it out at release for whatever reason. Right now the only way to get rabid is level 80 exotics from the TP, dungeon runs from certain dungeons, and karma vendors in Orr.

You will find some rabid, and other stat, jewelry on the TP for decent prices, including back items. Much of it is drops from dungeons.
However, if you can run small events like the Frozen Maw with your character every day, you will get rare weapons and armor of a level you can use that will more than make up for whatever perceived advantage you get from rabid stats. I do not recommend investing a lot of silver into a set of gear you will outgrow in a week, or less. Just work the levels, do the story quests, area and heart completions, and craft. I did not really need specific gear until I hit 80. Then, the first thing I did was craft a magic find set and buy the cheapest runes because rare items to salvage for ecto were, well, rare.
A mix of gear stats is perfectly fine when leveling. More important is to take advantage of runes and sigils as you get to higher levels. Just make sure your armor is not too far below your level.
