Requesting feedback to two builds
First, you don’t say what these builds are for: PVE,PvP or WvW?
One misleading thing on that calculator is that it acts as if the Dark Armor trait is active. So, the toughness on the Power build is really only 1375 when not channeling.
I prefer Epidemic over the WoS, but that’s just my personal choice.
The second build is interesting; hard to tell how effective it would be in practice.

Mainly PvE I guess. Maybe some WvW too (then probably adding a staff for group/zerg-fights… just because of the range and AoE. Maybe even get a second set for a condition-build… who knows).

I know; I’ve mentioned it in my post.

Well, Epidemic is quite useless in a power-build; mainly because I don’t stack any damaging conditions myself and I also don’t have much condition damage. Of course I could epidemic vulnerability and chill, or even immobilize… haha actually, that sounds quite funny. But I’m afraid the practical uses are very limited, and I can really use that additional AoE-damage from the well.

Yeah, I’ve got the same problem.
epidemic on a power build isnt bad at all. I haven’t checked out your builds but if you’re using dagger main hand you have a 3-4s AoE immobilise. also in big group events even with the lack of condition damage the spreading of 10+ bleed stacks will still do alot of damage and help you with tagging mobs.
I dont use it often on my power build but its definitely an option.
Hm well; I think I could switch Epidemic in instead of WoS when I have to fight at range. Talking about which; in fights where I have to stay at a long range I will/would probably use a staff with a Sigil of Strength instead of dagger/warhorn.
Both builds look like they will work. I tried something similar to your ele-wanabe and found the play interesting. Like you, I focused on boons, particularly might, trying to extend BiP. There is a trade in raw stats as the menagerie of runes are designed to lengthen BiP and so do not contribute as much. I used rampager’s armor, though, to make sure I got enough power and precision. Traits were 20/20/20/10/0, short of a glass cannon, for staff. I can swap between coral, ruby, saphire, and rabid accessories to tune a bit depending on the situation. Staff is just too useful in wvw and dungeons not to trait for it. You may consider WoP for a wvw utility instead of spectral walk. I have foud that, when conditions are flying everwhere, speed bonuses are just not as practical as condi management. When I am zerging, I run signet of the locust, then switch to an AoE before getting bogged down in the death-zone.
