We have the Gs and that’s a very good weapon. But the weapon don’t mean that the utility will be of the same kind.
The Dragonhunter will obtain longbow and traps and that’s an already seen combination (ranger), but the Chronomancer will obtain Shield and Wells. There’s not a correlation between shield and wells.

We lack in mobility and sustain. Why not a utility skill that give us both? If we look to thief Deception skills they grant AoE Stealth, Combo Fields, Blast finishers, Teleport (to the enemy and back again), Break-Stun and Blind. And Shadow refuge give also heal. All things that can be useful on a necromancer to make combos and evade damage.

Then, how a Stealth utility category can fit a Necromancer? With a Ghost like design it could.
We already can become spectra, why we can’t obtain Invisibility? A Necromancer that pass through the portal between life and death to catch he’s prey. We also well be able to grant Stealth to our allies, becoming useful in some dungeons like Arah, some www situations and spvp situations also.

What about a Necromancer in Stealth that walk around the map seeking for a prey?

That can grant us a very good survavibility skill and let the Devs free to change our DS into a Defiance Bar or into a Offensive way to deal more damage to our enemies because we’ll be able to stealth, evading a large amount of damage instead of taking all without be able to flee.

Why not get mobility? Because it is the polar opposite of ANet’s design for us. Its like asking why Thieves can’t get tankiness. You’re basically asking why won’t ANet change everything about the concept of the Necromancer and give us the exact opposites of what our theme is.

Guardians aren’t suppose to have bleeds. But look at DH.

Anything can be possible with Elite Specs.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

With the new SA and Acrobatic you could say thief has it’s possible active tankiness,with IP and exuctioner not competing against each other anymore a thief can somewhat copy a trade hit combat something siphon/parasitic contagion was supposed to be for necro. To me the elite specialisation is either mixed with war or thief…thief is way better warrior is already too close to us. Even revive medic thief will better after patch.

All in all it can’t get worse for necro.

guardians did not have a lot of range, and access to a lot of conditions outside of burn, and now do have access to both giving them increased damage with conditions, more mobility, and increased range. thus why would they continue to plague us with a lack of mobility and defense outside of godkitten ds. I’m tired of the devs limiting our class while continuing to advance and improve the rest

Neither of those things from Guardian were designed. Just because a profession is currently deficient in an area does not mean that is its design, only that it lacks those things currently. An example for Necromancer is that just because most of our builds lack attrition and favor burst doesn’t mean the Necromancer design and theme is burst with bad sustain.

Guardian is still true to its design, it overall lacks condition output, it is still mostly immobile (the new leap isn’t exactly tons of mobility with a massive CD), and range was never a designed issue. And they get bleeds from one source, while they can stack in very specific situations Guardians still have pretty bad actual bleed stacking, they just have decent burst on immobile targets, with a huge CD.

So no, Necromancer isn’t going to suddenly go directly against the entire design. We could get support, we could get tankiness, there are a lot of things we could get that we currently lack, but lots of flat mobility and stealth is not something we’ll ever get.
