how do you beat a mesmer?....
As a mesmer main i can tell you that the best way to win is condition’s we mesmers find it hard to clear conditions and well necros find it easy to to apply them.

Whenever I play power, against a mesmer that acts like the ones you’re describing, I’ll AoE the area (staff marks) and look for the one thats behaving erratically. Having everything except player names turned off & calling the player as target helps a bit, too.
When they invis, hop into DS and hit skills 4/5. When they reappear, DS 3 then flesh golem charge. Once knocked down, you can blast away with staff, re-enter DS & DS 2 to their location. As power, the condis may not do much damage, but the opponent doesn’t know that. They’ll probably panic & shift their focus to getting out of the bleed/poison/chill/fear they now have. At your target, drop enfeebling blood & dagger down.

They give chaos armor to clone when the clone is in middle of a chaos strom/null field or timewrap and the mesmer using combo finsiher→leap.(e.g phase retreat, ileap).
point of this thread.. tips would be awesome without resorting to one trick ponies like terror mancer (who dies horribly to anything with stability..)
wot? players who use stability just make it easier for terror-mancers to fear chain them.
Control t on mesmer, the ganna run so drop.dagger and pull out Axe or staff,
if only stealth did not drop targets….. and clones act as meat shields it does work to a degree if I manage to face rub against them for long enough

set up some clone counters `between you and the mesmer.. iow if on staff drop your wells to create a “save zone” where you can retreat and draw the clones into.
don’t use your dodges for one clone make sure they start following you (iow wait for the mesmer to shatter them) after the shatter cast, kite the clones and dodge. Or if you have your transfers ready eat the shatter in DS (with retal on trait) and transfer trough dagger #4 of staff #4. DS siphon also solves the problem of clones. As soon as you have the major clones/phantasm down immobilize and spam the kitten out of everything you can get your hands on. (usually dagger #1 after transfer immobilize) forcing the mesmer to use blink/stealth.. wait a bit on point and expect a phantasm to appear. dodge and ignore it while focusing on the mesmer again. he should be dying by now and a couple hit should finish him/her. if you have golem equipped charge it immediately when the mesmer pops stealth for a nice interrupt.
DS torment and siphon are some nice tools to kite clones.

but killing clones loads me with soft cc and condis =s

Either redirect the condis back at the mesmer with Plague Sig/Putrid Mark/Deathly Swarm or drop Well of Power and turn em into boons while creating a bit of high ground for yourself.
Speaking of mesmers, ran across one yesterday who had a Birthday boost active & couldn’t understand why I was able to hone in on ’em constantly. If only all mesmers could be this naive!
