Judging by how this thread is going, and with the recent Dev track record with Ranger/Druid nerfs.
Be prepared for some sort of nerf to it. Would love to not have it happen, but I don’t have high expectations atm.

Of course there’s one going after healing also,but that seems less likely due to PVE.

Y i think they have their eyes on Ranger for the moment.. We all know how the “fix” things..(Hello We heal As One) Expect some nerfs, lets all hope that Ancient Seeds its gonna pass the test..

It’s not even that amazing, people just try Ancient Seeds out because of the nerf. Most complainers, surely do not play Ranger, have no idea that they can just AA can break the vine in 2 seconds. Yet they whine about 5s immobility.

If you aren’t playing Condi, Ancient Seeds suck. And if you are playing Condi, you should not run druid anyway.

the way the developers gated Ranger pets was stupid. and then the nerf to Staff was also stupid, and then the OOC issue was stupid.

Pretty much the same here. I had a feeling that only one BWE weekend would bite us in the kitten classwise but I never imagined it would be such an effing mess, not even counting in the Ranger pile ‘o’ problems we had for such a long time. It just makes me kittened to recount the Twitch stream where they promised to fix and balance while all that is happening is making things even worse.

I really feel like I need a break from all this bullkitten, so yea well done devs, this must set a new record for me to be totally turned off this shenanigans so fast. 7 days, GG.

Yeah, I saw that thread on the PvP forum as well. It’s not a coincidence to me that every nerf we’ve eaten has had a thread based around it a day or three prior . . . every time.

If that’s serendipity, it’s a hell of a thing.

And yes, expect Ancient Seeds to get nerfed too.

…why would you do that? Knowing how hard they’ve been nerfing us lately?

I’ve never rerolled a class because of nerfs or buffs but this might be a first. I played a paladin in wow from 2008-2015 through good times and bad because I knew something would get done to fix my class but ever since I started playing a ranger here in guild wars I’ve seen nothing but nerfs with no explanation

Why aren’t skills/traits being balanced to work differently in pve & pvp?

They’ve done it before.

And it would solve the problems here.

I wondered why I saw your comment supporting the trait as well as wishing for a nerf as well on the PvP forums. At least we all know who to blame if this nerf does get inspired from another complaint on the forums….

The stupid part is if a skill is only borderline OP but that last 1% for a nerf is missing it stays broken. If it hits that 1% they destroy the skill. Stop doing those massive nerfs and btw fix stuff first.

Ranger has currently one really good pet (smokescale) and it almost feels it happened on accident. Bristleback looks worse every minute I play it. The f2 doesn’t work at all in slightly non flat terrain. Typical example of a PvE mob that got “ported” into a ranger pet but doesn’t work out.

nah that would be a semi reasonable nerf, if you want to pull an A-net nerf you need to go beyond nerf.

so AS ICD will be increased to once per day, reset at daily.

Ancient Seeds
Cast Entangle on target on crit (30s cooldown).

If they’re gonna nerf it, they better get rid of the CC requirement.
