Build : Remorseless Greatsword

I’m starting to warm up more to the idea of taking Resounding Timbre, but where is your math for:
the heal becomes very powerful, 100 health per second better than TU.
I haven’t done the math myself either, but don’t see yours … apologies, I’m being lazy :-p

Calcs done with Valkyrie Amulet with Altruism runes (500 healing power), both skills will have the -20% from traits;
TU = 911hp/s for 10s = 9110 health
9110 health / 20s CD = four hundred and fifty five hp/s (stupid text block)
“HaO” = 7026hp + 10s of Regeneration = 7026 + 1930 = 8956
8956 / 16s CD = 559hp/s
The combo works better if you have healing power, HaO still heals for more with lower healing power, but once you start stacking it up, its better by a long shot.

I see. So if you already have Regen from some other source, TU will still be superior HPS though as 7026 / 16s CD = 439 HPS … though not much lower than four-hundred-fifty-five.
With more healing power, you’ll be getting [(0.12 * 10) / 20 ] = 0.06 for TU and [1.0 / 16] = 0.0625 for Heal As One.
Hmmmm … I’m glad we had this discussion as you got me to do some of the other math (I’ve been lazy lately) :-p
I like how this is looking though with this and traits as we can now come up with various scenarios where each heal is better/worse than the other:
- more/less HPS
- burst/sustain heal
- regen + swiftness
- fury + condi removal
- traited cooldown reduction … because it’s not baseline :-)
I’m liking the way this is looking for Specializations … options and more options … good stuff.

Yeah, options are good! Before there was no real reason to use HaO, HS/TU were just superior. Now, each has a place! Except that dammed Water Spirit… Let’s see what they do with that…

Yeah, when I ran a silly PvE Spirits unbound build, Water was my favourite to have around just because it made gentle water sounds constantly. Any moment of calm and I hear the droplets falling gently down on the terrain. The only not outright stupid build (spirits is a legit build, I’d still take healing spring) I’d even considered running it in will have better options now, Nature’s Voice/Resounding Timbre, it was a case of the perma regen making healing spring a bit undesirable since we only get one blast, but HaO has the case of being a shout, assuming guard isn’t enough for perma regen alone.
I’ll be sad if it doesn’t become a legitimate heal skill.

Thankfully, there is no real reason (to me) to run guard after the patch, merely for the Nature’s Voice (Resounding Timbre) trait, with HaO having a 16s CD, it would make up for it because you can run a good trait for each utility skill type you have, shouts/survival/signets in the one build. Depending on what Druid gets ofc. It is already perma regen from Oakheart Salve (due to reduced CD) and “HaO” so no need, may as well grab WK for your survival skills and BeastMight for your signets. Loving the options.
@HotHit:
You can also use Leap finishers in the water field in order to get extra healing from it as well. You don’t have to rely on just blast finishers. This is one reason why Healing Spring can be ridiculously awesome in a Sword+X / Greatsword build.

I see a lot of you guys talk about getting fury procs from traited survival skills, yet the new GM trait reads “Use sharpening stone when you strike a foe below the health threshold (75%). Survival skills have 20% reduced recharge and remove conditions.” I see no fury here.
